Personal biography

Over fifteen years of publishing experience working for an independent fashion publisher producing high-end luxury magazines, to building a contract publishing arm for a UK social enterprise.Past titles include:• Dazed & Confused, monthly 192-256pp• Another Magazine, bi-annual 424-456pp• Another Man, bi-annual 320-352pp• Art & photography books for Rankin and Dazed Books

Past management experience include:• Building the commercial publishing arm of the business through contract publishing, sponsorship, and advertising as well as developing other funding/revenue streams.• Creating the first instore style magazine for a UK retailer, developing a publishing strategy, revenue stream and managing the editorial team to produce 250,000 copies across 52 stores• Managing the creation of Live East magazine, replicating the methodology of Live magazine, directing the implementation of a self-sustainable new business unit in east London.

• Relaunch of Ctrl.Alt.Shift, taking the magazine from an A5 free publication to a bi-annual consumer publication, negotiating an exclusive on-sale period in a national newsagent in collaboratoin with an international lifestyle magazine.

Since moving to Hong Kong in 2010, I have set up my own business offering production services on a range of products from printed marketing material, corporate merchandise to packaging.

Lane Crawford

• Project managed and implemented a new range of corporate packaging from 2011 onwards. - Reduced the number of bags and boxes used in store by 30%.- Reduced the number of deliveries from China to Hong Kong from five to two per week- Reduced storage space and shipping cost by changing the packaging construction / mechanism

• Develop seasonal packaging and new packaging concepts for marketing and central buying team.

• Source and manage factory output and distribution to ensure efficiency in production and consolidate the supply chain.


Classic Bag Co HK

• Set up and independently manage the Hong Kong office for a UK supplier of luxury packaging, to build and manage the creation and supply of packaging across the region.

J.CREW

• Project managed the arrival of J.Crew stores in Hong Kong by producing the first ever mahjong store hoarding from over 30,000 real mahjong tiles in IFC mall Hong Kong.

• Project managed the development, build and installation of five bespoke trucks for a seven-day event in the IFC atrium to build brand awareness and drive traffic into the new stores. Helped to source vendors to supply branded giveaways to new customers, and oversee production of the event.


Mariemeili

• Worked with a Hong Kong based production company to project manage the build, shipping and installation of a 17m sq trade booth for an international lingerie fair in Paris.Supervised the production team in Paris to oversee the set up and ensure the client had on-site support during the four-day event.
