Day 4 - Wednesday, October 4, 2017Dualla House / Waterford CrystalWe’ll visit Dualla House this morning. Watch a sheepdog demonstration and then enjoy tea and scones. Next we’ll visit Waterford, home of the famous hand-cut crystal. Upon arrival, tour the House of Waterford Crystal to learn about glass blowing and cutting, and see unique masterpieces. After our visit we’ll travel west to Kinsale set on the River Bandon. We’ll check into our hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. Meals: B, D

Day 5 - Thursday, October 5, 2017Cork City Tour / Blarney CastleToday we’ll embark on a panoramic tour to see the main areas of Cork. Cork is built on many hills with many steeply sloping streets. Visit the English Market where there is a wide variety of goods. Then drive a few miles outside of Cork to climb the battlements of Blarney Castle and kiss the famous “Stone of Eloquence” or take a walk through the stunning grounds for a look at the castle. We’ll also visit the Blarney Woollen Mills, which have a wide range of Irish products, before heading west into the mountainous country of County Kerry. Here we’ll explore the Ring of Kerry. See miles of marvelous scenery consisting of the highest peaks in Ireland and a coastline scattered with golden beaches and rocky headlands. We’ll enjoy plenty of stops to view the scenery and take photos. We’ll check into our hotel and freshen up before dinner tonight. Meals: B, D

Day 1 - Sunday, October 1, 2017Fly to DublinClimb aboard for our overnight flight across the Atlantic. Enjoy in-flight entertainment and meal service as you travel to start your vacation. Meals: In-Flight

Day 2 - Monday, October 2, 2017Arrive in Dublin / City TourAfter a morning arrival in Dublin, we will board a deluxe motorcoach and begin our journey. Join a local guide who will show us around town. Dublin is an ancient settlement founded by the Vikings in the 9th century. The city has been molded through the centuries with many architectural styles, reflecting the economic, political, and artistic influences. Visit Kilmainham Gaol to see what punishment was like during its years of operation from 1796 to 1924. Learn about political prisoners, especially from the 1916 Rising, detained here because of their efforts to shape Ireland’s history. Then check into our hotel where the afternoon is at your leisure to rest or enjoy Dublin. Use your two-day Hop on Hop off pass to explore the city. Meals: In-Flight

Day 3 - Tuesday, October 3, 2017Russborough House / Free AfternoonThis morning we’ll take a guided tour around the stately Russborough House, a Palladian mansion filled with interesting treasures as well as noted works of art and early photographic collections. This afternoon, enjoy Dublin on your own. There are plenty of shops along Nassau Street and the pedestrianized Grafton Street or Henry Street. Perhaps you’ll want to explore Temple Bar or visit some of the traditional pubs. Tonight, enjoy a dinner of Irish specialties followed by a lively show of traditional Irish music, songs, and displays of step dancing. Meals: B, D

Day 9 - Monday, October 9, 2017Derry Tour / Giant’s Causeway & Shean’s FarmThis morning enjoy a walking tour of central Derry. We’ll see the 17th century city walls, which are some of the best-preserved in Europe, and the main central square. Also pass St. Columb’s Cathedral, the Tower Museum, and Guildhall. Next, we’ll stop just outside of Portrush to visit Dunluce Castle. This structure sits on basalt rock jutting out over the sea, reached by a wooden walkway. During the 16th century it was home to the MacQuillans, and later the MacDonnells. We’ll continue north to explore the Giant’s Causeway, huge hexagonal columns formed over 60 million years ago. The rocks have given rise to many legends, especially involving Finn McCool. Next, we’ll visit Shean’s Farm and watch a turf cutting demonstration. After our visit, return to Derry for dinner at the hotel. Meals: B, D

Day 10 - Tuesday, October 10, 2017Belfast Sightseeing / Titanic BelfastAfter enjoying a traditional Irish breakfast, we’ll travel to Belfast and embark on a tour of the city. We’ll see the Albert Memorial and the ornate Victorian buildings of the Opera House and the Crown Liquor Saloon. In Donegall Square view the imposing City Hall, completed in 1906. The richly decorated interior contains stained glass portraying Belfast’s principal industries. In the Titanic Quarter, we’ll visit Titanic Belfast. Learn about the life of the Titanic, from her conception in Belfast to her tragic end. After our visit, we’ll drive to Trim and check into our castle hotel. Meals: B, D

Day 11 - Wednesday, October 11, 2017Travel HomeSadly, our journey through Ireland must come to an end. We’ll travel to Dublin Airport where our flight home awaits. We head home today with the satisfaction of a memorable adventure to Ireland. Meals: B

Day 6 - Friday, October 6, 2017Jaunting Car Ride / Dingle PeninsulaAn old-fashioned horse drawn jaunting car will bring us through Killarney National Park, which is closed to motorized vehicles. Next, we’ll drive out along the Dingle Peninsula. This scenic road winds along portions of the shoreline and through hilly country. We’ll enjoy spectacular views of mountains and coast, with new vistas opening up at every turn in the road. We’ll return to Killarney for a free evening. Meals: B

Day 7 - Saturday, October 7, 2017Cliffs of Moher / Galway Walking TourWe’ll depart Killarney and travel north through the village of Listowel to Tarbert. Take a 20-minute ferry ride across the River Shannon estuary and along the coastline to take in the beauty of the Cliffs of Moher. This iconic cliff rises to a height of almost 700 feet above the ocean and stretches five miles along the coast. We’ll pass through the Burren, an area of rocky limestone hills where many unique flowers thrive. This region also contains many dolmens, prehistoric monuments formed by large limestone slabs. We’ll continue north to Galway and embark on a walking tour of the city. See the medieval city walls, Lynch’s Castle, and the narrow streets. Then, we’ll check into our hotel for an overnight stay. Day 8 - Sunday, October 8, 2017Museum of Country Life / Belleek PotteryThis morning depart Galway and travel north to visit the Museum of Country Life, situated in the grounds of Turlough Park House and Gardens. The exhibitions portray the lives of ordinary people who lived in rural Ireland from 1850 – 1950. We’ll continue on into Sligo. At the Drumcliffe Visitor Centre, we’ll see the grave of one of Ireland’s most influential poets, W.B. Yeats. Follow the Atlantic shoreline of Donegal Bay to Belleek where we’ll visit the Belleek Pottery Factory. See how skilled craftspeople form clay to produce delicate porcelain masterpieces. We’ll continue to Derry and check into our hotel and enjoy dinner. Meals: B, D

Cancellation Fee WaiverTrip Cancellation: With the purchase of the Landmark Tours Guest Protection Plan for Ireland you may receive a full refund of tour payments, minus Guest Protection Plan cost, in case of cancellation due to personal illness (medical documentation required) or death of an immediate family member, as long as we are notified one day before your trip departs.

Trip InterruptionIf you must leave the tour early due to personal illness, or the death of a family member, you will receive a refund of any unused portions of the package. Handling of return air transportation is included if tickets were provided by Landmark Tours as a part of the package.

Refund & Cancellation PolicyAll tour deposits and tour payments are fully refundable before the Final Payment Date. If you choose not to purchase the Guest Protection Plan, the following per person Cancellation Fees will apply.

ExclusionsLandmark Tours reserves the right to alter its Refund and Cancellation Policy when a significant amount of cancellation or interruption of travel are due to conditions caused by an act of God, civil disorder, government action, outbreak of disease man made or natural disasters, fire, war, unavailability of services or transportation through no fault of Landmark Tours. Should such a rare exclusion ever be made, those passengers who purchased the Guest Protection Plan will be issued credit valid for use on any Landmark Tours package that departs within one year of original tour registration.
