1 Introduction iRecruitment on the external site provides a functionality to the public to create and maintain accounts and subsequently apply for the available vacancies at Bank of Uganda. 1.1 Terms To understand this user guide, it is important to understand different terms used in this

document.

Accessing iRecruitment

1. Open the BoU website www.bou.or.ug

2. At the bottom of the BoU homepage, click Careers in BOU.

3. Read the BoU Recruitment Policy

4. Click the link on the second paragraph (http://irecruitment.bou.or.ug) to open the

Oracle iRecruitment page shown in Figure 1 below.

1.4 Registration If it is your first time:

5. Click the Register today button. A registration page will be displayed.

6. Type in your Email, Family Name and First Name in the ‘Your Details’ section.

7. Type in your desired password (not less than six characters) in the Password field

and reconfirm in the Confirm Password field.

8. Click Submit

9. Click My Account tab

10. Enter your Phone Numbers in the ‘Phone Number’ column and the suitable times to

be called in the ‘times to Call’ column.

11. Click Save

12. Click the Qualifications and Skills tab

13. In the ‘Employment History’ section, click the Add Another Employer button

14. Type in the Employer name, Start Date, End Date, Job Title, Location and a brief

Description of Job Duties.

15. Click Save

16. In the ‘Skills’ section click the Add Another Skill button.

17. Select the Category in the ‘Search’ section (‘Skill Type’ field)

18. Click the Search button.

19. Click the checkboxes against the skills that you want to add.

20. Click OK.

21. Select the Level against each skill in the ‘Skills’ section as shown in the figure below.

Note: If the skills are more than ten, click the Next 10 link to go to the next page. Then

repeat step 21.

22. Click the Save button.

23. Under the ‘Education Qualifications’ section click the Add Another Establishment

button.

24. Enter the College or University, Location, Degree, Major Subject and Date

Received.

Note: The fields with * are mandatory. You cannot save or submit the form without

entering information for those fields.

Repeat step 24 to add more establishments.

25. Click the Add Another Qualification button in the ‘Additional Qualifications’

section.

26. Select the Category from the drop-down list

27. Select the Qualification Type from the drop-down list

28. Enter the Qualification, Grade/Level and Date Received

29. Click Save

30. Click the Jobs tab at the top of the web page.

31. Click Available Jobs tab

32. On the ‘Date Posted’ field, select e.g. 1 Month from the drop-down list.

33. Click Go

34. View the listed jobs. Click Next to view jobs on the next page.

35. Click the checkbox against the job you would want to apply for.

36. Click the link (underlined name) of the job that you are going to apply for.

37. Read the job details carefully

38. Click Apply Now to apply for the job.

39. Click the Upload Resume button on the ‘Resume’ field.

40. Click Browse to locate your Resume (Curriculum Vitae) and then click OK.

41. Enter the description of your Resume and click the Continue button.

A confirmation notification will be displayed.

42. Click Add Another Document in the ‘Documents’ section

43. Click Browse to search and locate the scanned documents.

Note: Each document should not exceed 500kb in size.

44. Enter the description of the documents and select the File Type from the ‘File Type’

drop-down list.

45. Click the Upload button.

A confirmation notification will be displayed.

Note: You can upload up to five documents.

46. Click the Next button at the top or bottom of the page.

47. Click the drop-down arrow next to the ‘Job Posting Source’ field and select the

displayed list.

48. Enter the Source Name

49. Enter the Date of Birth

Note: The format of the Date of Birth should be the same as the one shown in the example

below the Date of Birth field.

50. Select the Sex (Male or Female)

51. Click the Next button at the top or bottom of the page.

52. Review your information

53. Click the Finish button to submit your application.

A confirmation notification will be displayed.

54. Click the Logout link at the top of the page.

Note: To apply for another job, enter your Email address and Password and then click Login.

Follow steps 30 to 54.

Note: To view the job details before Registration, follow steps 32 to 37.
