(U)'~ San Diego determined that two of the hijackers forAmerican Aii-hnes Flight 77, Khalid Al-Mihdhar and Nawaf AI-Hazmi,had lived and received flight training in SanDiego,CA. Whileconducting investigations of the activities of AI-Mihdhar and AI­'Hazmi, San Diego identified an individual named Omar AI-Bayoumi whoassisted the two hijackers in obtaining lodging and other necessitiesduring their stay in San Diego.
