TREND’S NEWEST, MOST EFFICIENT TERMINAL UNIT CONTROLLERS

IQeco is Trend’s newest and, as its name suggests, most efficient range of terminal unit controllers. Building on the success of the IQL range, these cutting-edge controllers offer higher capacity, greater flexibility and more inputs and outputs than other similar sized terminal unit controllers.

This freely programmable and fixed function range of controllers can be used in a wide range of applications from a simple fan coil to the most complex individual room control.

Up TO 60% MORE ENERgy EffICIENT

IQeco incorporates energy efficient EUBAC approved control strategies, together with new energy related strategy modules, including a virtual metering function. The IQeco 230v is up to 60 per cent more power efficient than equivalent controllers on the market.

COST EffECTIvE

The range offers a choice of three different models, in which the hardware and firmware options vary according to the level of control required.

This means that you can select the exact control and flexibility that you require, making these controllers extremely cost effective.

EASy TO INSTALL

By incorporating pre-written strategies, barcode scanning, and new commissioning tools Trend has made it very easy to install and commission IQeco controllers. They are also fully compatible with legacy Trend systems.

fLExIBLE fOR ThE fUTURE

If you require more features at a later stage, your IQeco controller can be field upgraded, such as unlocking a fixed unit to be programmable. The range of controllers also communicate using the BACnet protocols therefore offering flexible integration options.

CONTROL STRATEgy (pROgRAMME) OpTIONS

The strategies are the control routines written in each IQeco which determine the allocation of the inputs and outputs and corresponding functions, including fan speed, valve control, room temperature and occupancy.

The following options are available:

Strategy Description

fixed A pre-programmed strategy for a dedicated application, from a library of strategies. The program can be modified in the field to other strategies from the same library, eg: a unit ordered as a 3 speed fCU, 4 pipe with raise/lower outputs can be changed to use thermic outputs.

programmable A model which can be ordered to be sent with either a standard strategy or empty. The strategy can be modified or replaced in the field.

Custom A model pre-programmed with a customer supplied written strategy.

EDUCATION

A safe investment, benefiting by being an open system (BACnet) yet fully compatible with the Trend IQ system. This IQ network includes Natural ventilation controllers which when used within education environments have achieved a 40% reduction in CO2 emissions compared with purely mechanical ventilation, this in turn produces healthier environments for students including reduced headaches, fatigue, and loss of concentration.
