Camp DoryOutdoor adventures await you on the scenic shores of Chebacco Lake in Essex. Make memories at Camp Dory where each themed week features swimming, arts, sports instruction, drama, orienteering skills and more. Activities are led by highly trained, caring staff that provide a safe, nurturing environment based on the Ys core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

CHILDCAREChild Development Center Ages: 3-5Our Y Preschool and its warm, caring and trained staff are an extensionof home. Our Creative Curriculum offers children the opportunity togrow in spirit, mind and body while developing a strong sense of self.Our educational setting exposes children to early math, science, literacy,social studies, the arts and technology in preparation for Kindergarten.In addition, children participate in Y physical activities such asswimming, sports clinics, gymnastics and more. After the BellAges: Grades K-5At our Y School Age Program, enjoy comforts of home including our plush book corner, a Wii Station and computer time for homework. Explore art and crafts projects, small group team challenge games and participate in FREE swim lessons and sport clinics that include basketball, football, soccer, tennis and gymnastics.
Bus Transportation to the Ipswich YMCA for the after school program is provided from the Winthrop/Doyon schools in Ipswich and the Essex Elementary School. Parents have the option to choose a schedule that best meets their needs with a 2-day minimum is required. Registration packets and tuition fees are available online at www.northshoreymca.org

Parent/Child Ages: 6-24 monthsParents will learn techniques for holding children in the water and how to introduce basic swimming skills in a fun and safe way, like bubble blowing, swimming on front, back and side as well as basic kick/pull techniques. YMCA Swim Instructor Course Ages: 16 and up Pre-requisites: Pro CPR, Oxygen, First Aid, ability to swim five basic strokes with good form. This certification course covers the skills required to teach swim lessions to a variety of ages. Learn to swim progressions and safety techniques are emphasized.August 14, 15 10:00am-5:00pm
YOUTH ARTS & DANCE
Creative Ballet I Ages: 3-5Offered Summer Sessions I & IISession Fee: Member $39 Community $55Ballerinas create dances inspired by original stories and the classical ballets while developing rhythm, body control, coordination, spatial awareness and learning the vocabulary of ballet. Junior Team Tennis Ages: 8-12 (Participants must be age eligible through Aug 31)Fee: $185 per personPlayers must be USTA members ($19 Fee)Co-ed official USTA inter-town summer tennis league. GIVE US A TRI - AUGUST 24th!Join us for our 11th annual triathlon at picturesque Crane’s Beach on Friday, August 24th!
Great for first time and seasoned triathletes! Swim a half mile in the cool ocean waters, run 3 miles around the enchanting Crane Estate trails and beaches then bike 9 miles up and down Argilla Road past orchards, marshes and farm lands.
Sign up early, space is limited to the first 200 participants. Teams welcome.
