FIT-TASTIC KIDS

FIT-tastic Kids is a program developed by the YMCA of the North Shore to teach kids ages 8 to 14 how to eat a healthier diet and increase daily physical activity. In this program participants will learn how to make healthy food choices, bring home recipes and ideas to their families to continue healthy lifestyle habits at home and find ways to get moving throughout the day. The goal is for both kids and their families to be FIT-tastic together.

FIT-tastic Kids offers flexible scheduling for each family to begin at any time. An 8-week Y youth membership is included when participating in this program. FIT-tastic Kids is free for participants and their families because of the generosity of donors and grantors. give Thanks & Support our Community As you begin to plan your holidays, keep the Y in mind! The coming months are times for generosity, reflection and giving thanks. End of year giving opportunities include:

• Making a Y For All donation in a loved one’s honor

• Supporting a family at Thanksgiving

• Designating the Y as your business’s holiday charity organization

• Making a child’s dream come true with a holiday gift

At our Y, we have plenty of ways to get involved. The holidays are always busy, but we have opportunities that can help you reconnect to the true meaning of the season. To learn more, ask your local front desk or visit www.northshoreymca.org

Planned givingGIve a gift today that will help support future generations. Planned gifts can be made through your will, life insurance policy or retirement plan. All those who make a gift will be invited to join the Triangle Society, our planned giving recognition society. If the Y has left a last-ing impression on your life, please call Sam Sanker, Director of Planned Giving, at 978.921.1753 or [email protected]

SAVe THe DATe: YMCA gALA NoV 3

About the YMCA of the North Shore Annual gala event:The corporate sponsors, donors and attendees of the YMCA of the North Shore’s Annual Gala made it possible for the Y to raise over $300,000 in 2011, including more than $115,000 in “Y camperships.” 100% of the funds raised at the Y Gala directly benefits deserving children and families with YMCA of the North Shore’s Financial Assistance Fund. In 2012, our Y will give away more than $2.5 million in financial aid for membership, program, childcare, camp and all YMCA services to 9,500 deserving kids, adults and families. That is one (1) out of every five (5) people in our Y. We are able to say yes to all those in need, but not without the generous support of our friends. For more information, please contact Kim Lations, Special Events and Volunteer Coordinator, at 978.922.0990 or [email protected] org
