Case Study iPad Application for Account Managers to Automate their Work Process by Leveraging SAP System Challenges Fujifilm account managers needed to manage and automate their inventory count and replenishment process. They wanted their Consignment Count Sheet to update count quantity and replenishment quantity of assigned customer itself and submit this updated sheet back to SAP. Therefore, they wanted an application to manage this process pretty well. Their main intention for creating this app was to bring the entire front end workflow onto the iPad to minimize errors, increase productivity, and automate the process by removing the paper count sheets. They wanted an app that will check for inventory differences, allowing account manager to make a work estimate. Also, the idea was to have web admin feature for the super admin to view the list of orders entry made by the account managers where they will be able to create a flag for error check and also submit the orders in SAP backend for further proceeding. After gauging the current scenario and the potential benefits of a new app being introduced to a work environment, we created an iPad application (an enterprise application) for the internal use of Fujifilm account managers. Our solution enabled the account manager to access the same features from the web application as well. Fujifilm and Softweb worked together to create an effective middle ground where they could leverage SAP directly for the specific customer refresh requests from account managers and also continue to utilize their existing .NET framework for building the data warehouse of the automated jobs of data coming in from SAP. ChallengesFujilm account managers needed to manage and automate their inventory count and replenishment process. They wanted their Consignment Count Sheet to update count quantity and replenishment quantity of assigned customer itself and submit this updated sheet back to SAP. Their main intention for creating this app was to bring the entire front end workow onto the iPad to minimize errors, increase productivity, and automate the process by removing the paper count sheets. They wanted an app that will check for inventory dierences, allowing account manager to make a work estimate. Also, the idea was to have web admin feature for the super admin to view the list of orders entry made by the account managers where they will be able to create a ag for error check and also submit the orders in SAP backend for further proceeding.

After gauging the current scenario and the potential benets of a new app being introduced to a work environment, we created an iPad application (an enterprise application) for the internal use of Fujilm account managers. Our solution enabled the account manager to access the same features from the web application as well.

Fujilm and Softweb worked together to create an eective middle ground where they could leverage SAP directly for the specic customer refresh requests from account managers and also continue to utilize their existing .NET framework for building the data warehouse of the automated jobs of data coming in from SAP.
