REIMAGINE / END OF LIFE

Join a notable network of Bay Area artists, storytellers, health care professionals,

innovators, religious communities, and community and cultural organizations coming

together to catalyze a citywide conversation about end of life. The week-long experience

expects to engage 5,000 attendees at more than 50 events exploring this taboo topic.

As a new non-profit organization, Reimagine is partnering with the City of San Francisco,

through the Palliative Care Work Group, whose members include UCSF, Kaiser

Permanente, Sutter Health, Zuckerberg SF General Hospital, SF Department of Aging &

Adult Services, Veterans Affairs, Zen Hospice Project and Jewish family and Children’s

Services, among others. Our collective belief is that high-quality end-of-life care must be

consistent with our wishes and values, and that begins with honest conversations.

Reimagine was prototyped in 2016 as a week-long event series, with more than 100 event

hosts at venues across the San Francisco Bay Area. It was inspired by OpenIDEO’s End of

Life Challenge as part of a special project to investigate the intersection of art, community, and end of life. For 2018, Reimagine | End of Life wants to engage the full,

diverse spectrum of the San Francisco Bay Area and all cultures represented.

CREATING A 360° EXPERIENCE FOR 2018 We invite YOU to help us engage your community!

We are developing events under four Pillars: Hospice+ Palliative Care+ Social

Services; Arts+ Entertainment; Design + Innovation; Culture + Spirituality

Help us engage your community:

• What kinds of events will interest your community?

• What will make it likely and easy for them to attend? Tell us how to invite them.

• Let us help you develop an event that speaks to and about your community.

• Recommend a venue in your neighborhood - we want events in every corner of the city.

• Recommend someone/ an organization that can create an event or bring in a community.

Visit www.letsreimagine.org for inspiration from Re:lmagine 2016.

WHY PARTICIPATE?

Reimagine is a thoughtful, one-of-a-kind experience; it uniquely connects participants

to themselves, to one another, and to their loved ones. Not only will you build meaning

ful relationships with an expanded audience, but you will join an extensive community

of event creators, which Reimagine

fosters throughout the year, both

on- and offline. Most importantly,

you will create lasting impact on a

citywide scale. Help us spark a

social movement that breaks down

the taboos around death so that we

might live, love, and leave well.

WHAT PEOPLE

ARE SAYING ...

9 out of 10 attendees said Reimagine broke down their taboos around death.

I FEEL LIKE THERE ARE OTHER

PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO WANT TO

TALK ABOUT END-OF-LIFE. THAT l'M

NOT ALONE ... AND NOW I KNOW

THERE ARE WAYS I CAN CONTINUE

TO INTERACT. - Attendee

THIS WAS A WONDERFUL

OPPORTUNITY TO BOTH EXPAND
