INVITE FOR NVIDIA ROUND TABLE MEETING
September 22nd
to 24th
, 2014 Germany / Königswinter @ Grand Hotel Petersberg
Dear all,
This year we will have our 10th
RTM in a row and we again expect more than 150 attendees
from more than 80 companies from all over the Globe. Similar to last year, with our partners
participation, we hope to gain a wide spectrum of information on both software and hardware
technology advancements.
Please find attached the agenda for the RTM and some general information.
The registration for the RTM 2014 is online at http://extranet.nvidia.com/object/roundtable-2014-registration.html, but please don’t hesitate
to contact Joerg Krall ([email protected]) if you need any more information.
My special thanks go to all Partners for their Sponsorship and the content for the NVIDIA
RTM.
Best Regards,
Walter Mundt-Blum

NVIDIA Round Table Meeting 2014 (NV RTM)
For those of you who didn’t join the last NV RTM’s, here is a
short description of how it is organized and what we are doing
this year. The NV RTM is a Bi-Directional Technology Meeting
and should give our customers, our partners and ourselves the
possibility to exchange future needs, share information of what we and our partners are planning for the next 12 months and
exchange views for technology trends in general. Therefore the
NV RTM is NOT a technology conference where speakers are
giving information to the total audience. Instead we have Partner
Sessions where each partner has his own room where about 10
customers can exchange information with each partner for about
1 hour.
This year we have 4 NVIDIA and 11 PARTNER “Break Outs” or “Sessions” and 10 time slots for each of them. Detailed information for the content of each session is attached and
you can sign up for the sessions when registering online.
Here the Partner List for NV RTM 2014:
Autodesk
Barco
Citrix
Dassault/3DXcite
Dell Fujitsu
HP
Lenovo
Nice
Viscon
VMware
Lightworks (part of NVIDIA ARC session)
PNY (Additional Sponsor)
A very important fact is that many of our customers are key IT decision makers in their companies. We understood from the customers attending the last NV RTM that they also see
a high value on exchanging information among IT managers from the same vertical industry.

NICE DCV - Remote 3D Visualization for CAE, CAD, Oil & Gas and the 3D Cloud
• Access high-end 3D GPUs from your client with lowest bandwidth demands
• No data transfer needed – instant pre- and post-processing of output data
• Your data stays securely in the data center• Collaboration between engineers with high performant
3D support• Support external CAx workers and researchers,
suppliers, remote sites• Save cost and bandwidth by consolidating graphics and
CPU power• No local heat or noise created by workstations sitting
under your desk
NICE will demonstrate the performance of the new DCV 2014 version supporting the most efficient GPU-hardware based H.264 (movie codec) encoding of Remote 3D Visualization on local hardware and via connections spanning half of Europe with realistic engineering and research use cases.
In the our session we will discuss how GPU sharing for Linux and Windows 3D sessionscan enable efficient usage of resources and create most attractive savings.
Questions are also welcome during our session to have it as interactive as possible!
Viscon Topics for the NVIDIA Round Table Meeting 2014
VMWare Topics for the NVIDIA Round Table Meeting 2014
Core employees in industries such as medical imaging, engineering, and product development who require the use of graphics-enabled applications have historically experienced limited flexibility in how they work. They require a high-end workstation for the necessary horsepower to interact with high-quality 3D images from professional applications such as Autodesk Inventor, Dassault SolidWorks, or Adobe Premiere Pro.For example, engineers who use computer-aided design (CAD) to create models require workstations with dedicated graphics cards and often lack the flexibility to work from home or share their work with clients while on the go. Furthermore, the size of the files generated by graphics-intensive applications often requires users to have their files stored locally.
Problem SolvedAdoption of virtualized desktops has previously been constrained to users of applications that have limited graphics capabilities. However, with VMware® Horizon View™ 5.2 and VMware vSphere® 5.1 leveraging the new NVIDIA GRID™ technology, workers are now free to access their graphics-intensive applications and files remotely in a virtualized desktop environment—with the same level of interactivity they’ve come to expect at their desk. All of the graphics processing is performed by NVIDIA GRID graphics cards in the datacenter, enabling end users to access their applications and files using Horizon View clients on inexpensive thin clients, their home computers, or any other device for that matter. Depending on the graphics-processing requirements of the application, workers can have access to either a dedicated graphics processor or a shared graphics processor that can be used across multiple virtual desktops.
Solution BenefitsUsers• Enjoy highly responsive virtual desktops with rich multimedia experience• Access all critical applications, even the most 3D-intensive ones• Work from anywhere, on any deviceIT Managers• Enjoy the virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) benefits of increased security, centralized data, and ease of management• Expand their VDI user base to include even the most graphics-intensive users• Improve the productivity of all VDI users with graphics acceleration of everyday applications
