*Mr Jones is an advisor to the European Commission and UK Govern-ment on Energy Effi ciency, Photonics and Lighting Technologies and ex-pert assessor for Innovate UK. He is currently Chief Executive Offi cer of LUX-TSI, an accredited testing laboratory and global certifi cation consul-tancy and is an experienced technologist with over 25 years’ experience of technology design, development, manufacturing and certifi cation. He was a founding CTO of Enfi s, an innovative UK SME medical LED com-pany and was one of the team responsible for placing the company on the London Exchange in 2007. During the years with Enfi s he led the for-mation of the company ISO 13485 medical devices quality management system and fi led several medical device patents.
