Invitation for the Danish Fencing
Federations Summercamp 2020
All fencers of at least 9 years, are invited to take part in
DFF’s fencing summercamp 2020
The camp will take place in Kalundborg during week 31 from
Monday July 27th 12.00 to Saturday August 1st 13.00
Corona Disclaimer:
The Corona virus pandemic has kept Denmark locked down since March and
for this reason the destiny of this years camp has been impossible to foretell.
The disease is still out there and we still need to take precaustions and act
responsibly today and when we arrive at the camp-week – week 31.
Can we, in week 31, legally and responsibly, have a fencing camp
that in the past years has gathered more than 100 people?
That is the huge open question that has been drifting in the air for several
months.
The answers can finally be given and in short, it is YES!
Therefore we can now finally present to you the official invitation to the camp,
so you can sign up
It goes without saying that we will need to take precaustions that we need to
figure out in the coming time, and for this reason some changes in the camps
usual format must be expected. We of course hope that both fencers and
parents respect and understand this .
About the camp:
Despite the global situation we are hoping for the participation from both
national and the international clubs, that we have seen the past years. It will be
possible to participate on foil, epee or sabre. We will of course make sure that
the program will be exciting and full of surprises, aimed at giving the
participants a great experience both socially and of course with respect to
developing their fencing skillset. We have had many great experiences
working with foreign clubs from all over Europe and we hope and expect to
do so this year as well!

Senior and HEMA fencing
The camp has traditionally been a children and youth camp but we are trying
to expand it with tracks for senior fencers and for fencers practicing Historical
Martial Arts. The senior track will embrace both high and low technical and
physical levels, so both beginners and elite fencers will have the opportunity
to develop and have a great camp.
Equipment repair class:
This year we will once again host a small workshop aimed at teaching the
participants basic skills for restoring damaged equipment. If you are interested
in taking part in this we recommend that you bring spare parts and damaged
equipment to practice on.

If you would like to arrive a day early (on Sunday July 26th) please contact us
on [email protected] to arrange this, at least one month before the camp. Then
we will arrange accommodation for you and, you will be charged the extra
expenses for this.
Requirements for equipment:
Of course especially this year, it is important that you bring all the equipment
you need yourselves. We expect participants to bring electric equipment, and
to bring reasonable amounts of spare equipment for themselves.
Requirements for 12+:
Mask 1600 N, jacket and trousers 800 N, underplastron.
For miniorer og puslinge:
Mask 350 N, jacket and trousers 350 N.
Trainers
We encourage clubs with participants to send trainers to accompany their
fencers at the camp. This way we can make new acquaintances in the fencing
community, and hopefully all learn from each other and grow in our role as
trainers. Trainers from clubs with 4+ fencers will be allowed to participate at
no cost for the entire camp. Please contact us if your club is interested in
sending a trainer.
Registration:
The deadline for registration is Monday July 5th. It is in very short time so hurry
and share the news with your club mates that you want to come also!
The registration is valid when we have received the filled in registration
formula. We prefer payment up front if possible but can accept cash on arrival,
see details below. Regardless of payment method, registration is binding and
cancellation will result in a charge or retainment of a 65 Euro cancellation fee.
ATTENTION: This year, in case the fencer is sick or in risk of being sick, they
should NOT come to the camp, but stay home, and we will grant a full refund
of the registration fee.

Price & payment:
Prices stated in this invitation are applicable only to foreign fencers as a special offer.
As of 03-07-2020 we have announced a 25% discount for all fencers U18 compared to
the prices listed below! It also applies to already registered fencers!
All prices include:
Room and board during the entire camp.
Personal as well as group training from experienced trainers.
All of the camps challenging and educational experiences with all the other
fantastic fencers.

Children and youth track
The price for participating in this unforgettable camp on the children and
youth track is 255 Euros.
Senior & HEMA track
This year we are hope to include a track for seniors and HEMA fencers on
the DFF camp! You will have the oppertunity to participate for either 3 or 7
days and to choose between a luxury and a discount package.
The 7-day senior track will run all week from Monday July 27th until Sunday
August 2nd. The price for the luxury-stay is 475 Euros while the discount
stay is 255 Euros.
The two 3-day tracks will take place over the weekend from Friday July 31st
until Sunday August 2nd. The price for the luxury-stay is 330 Euros while
the discount stay is 175 Euros.
The discount and the luxury stay differs mainly on the accommodation,
which for the luxury guests will be on the hostel or a nearby hotel/hostel
with maximum one roommate. The discount-guests will be given an
inflatable mattress and sleep in dormitories.

In connection with planning and conducting of the DFF summer camp, we treat personal data in
accordance with the Danish Fencing Federation's privacy policy which can be found on the federation's

We will of course process all information collected in the form above. We do so with for the following
purposes.
Contact information is used to communicate relevant information between the camp management
and the contact person prior to and, if necessary, during the camp (e.g. in the event of an injury).
The participant's name and picture, as well as information about weapons, experience level, club,
gender, age and the wishes of roommates are used in connection with room formation, for
dividing the participants into groups for different activities at the camp and for example, to make
a system for tracking lessons of the fencers.
Special information (“Specific info”) about the participant is potentially very important for us to
get, so camp management overall, and the coaches during training sessions can make sound
decisions. The coaches and management at the camp are informed about the participants' health
issues, so that the nearest responder can always act quickly and on an informed basis should a
serious health-related situation arise. In addition, the youth hostel is informed anonymously about
for example allergies as well as simple preferences in relation to food.
Specific and contact information will be deleted after the camp has been finished. The remaining
information, however without the participant's name or picture, is archived for the purpose of monitoring
and keeping statistics of camp attendance overall, and within given groups (for example total attendance
over a number of years, but also number of epee fencers, foreign participants, etc.). This information is
however not relatable to any specific individual.
The signature below confirms 1) the binding registration of the stated participant 2) that the information
provided is correct and not incomplete 3) your consent that we may process also the sensitive personal
information about e.g. injuries, illness, allergies, cf. the description above and 4) that you have read and
understood the above.
