Annexure-4

The following are minimum recommended guidelines for wayside amenities and should be monitored & followed by the project proposer;

i. Minimum land area and site development area should be as per existing UK tourism policy.

ii. All facilities should be friendly for the physically differently abled.

iii. The proposed facility should conform to the design and architectural standards

specified/adopted by local authorities and all essential and necessary approvals need to be

obtained from local authorities, by the bidder.

iv. There should be separate lanes for entry and exit to the facility and the quality of the road

should be built as per State Highway standards for easy access into the amenity.

v. Clearly visible signage indicating the exact location and distance to the wayside amenity

should be placed at distance of 5 kms, 2 kms, 1 km, 750 mtrs, 500 mtrs and 250 mtrs,

bothways, from the gate of the amenity.

vi. Provision of 24 x 7 power supply and water facilities and generator backup is mandatory.

Use of renewable energy must be explored, if feasible for each site.

vii. Hygiene, Responsible Standards, Environment-friendly Practices: There should be a

provision of facility for segregation of garbage into biodegradable (kitchen waste from food

stall, etc.), non-bio-degradable (aluminium foil, cigarettes, etc.) & recyclable (newspapers,

bottles, cans, plastics etc.) Separate covered garbage receptacles / bins need to be

provided, for these three types of garbage.

team 4. Lay-out indicating the proposed zone of operation,

common facilities, etc. along with the plan for waste collection and disposal mechanism, water treatment and security

5. Provisions for providing drinking water, toilets, and solar street light etc. at site

6. Handholding support required from the Government including infrastructure requirement, (as per existing Uttarakhand tourism policy) etc.
