Marc van den Homberg is the co-founder and leader of the ICT4D team at TNO. Marc develops and applies pro-poor ICT relatedinnovationsinpost-conflictreconstructionanddisasterrecovery settings as well as in developing countries (inclusive innovation).Heisareserveofficerforthecivil-militaryinter-action commando where he focuses on the comprehensive approach. He holds an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management (with a specialization on entrepreneurship in emerging economies) and a PhD in physics.

Hester Stubbé joined TNO as a researcher and technical consultant inthedepartmentof‘Training&PerformanceInnovations’.Herresearchfocusesonself-directedlearning,work-basedlearning,experiential learning and the development of innovative learning solutions needed to achieve that. Currently she is working on pro-jectswithprimaryschools,secondaryschools,out-of-schoolchildreninSudan,smallandmedium-sizedenterprisesandinthesafety&security domain.

Mark Ruijsendaal is business line manager at TNO. He is responsibleforstrategy,marketingandportfoliomanagement.Researchtopicsinclude‘privacy&identitymanagement’,‘userempowerment’,‘evidencebasedpolicy&strategy’and‘life-longlearning’.

Josine van de Ven is a program manager at the department of ‘Trai-ning&PerformanceInnovations’.Hereworkfocusesinthedomainof crisis management and her expertise humans in complex infor-mation environments. She has a background in computer science and cognitive science.

Marijn Rijken works as a business consultant and project manageratTNO,theNetherlandsOrganisationforAppliedScientificResearch.Headvisescompanies,governmentsandNGO's on the use of innovative ICTs and has a vast experience inamongothers,thetelecommunications,healthandenergysector. Since 2006 Marijn is specialising in ICT for Develop-ment(ICT4D),isco-leadingTNO’smarketactivitiesinthisfield.

Anja studied educational technology and obtained a PhD in applicationsofArtificialIntelligencetoeducationaltechno-logyfromtheUniversityofAmsterdamin1996.Atpresent,she is program manager and senior researcher at the Dutch researchorganizationTNOinthefieldofSeriousGaming.Sheheaded the development of the Go4it game.
