Main speaker

Sandra Aparcana, born in 1975 in Lima, Peru, works at the Sustainable Europe Research Institute (SERI) since July 2012. Her work focuses on research regarding corporate sustainability, sustainability assessment of products and value chains, social and environmental life cycle assess-ment of products and footprints. She graduated as a food scientist in Peru and finished the master’s pro-gramme “International Material Flow Management” in Germany. In Austria she studied the doctoral programme of Natural Resources (field: waste management) at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), financed by the Austrian Development Coope-ration. Her professional expertise further encompasses quality and environmental management, renewable energy, life cycle assessment and sustainable waste management in developing countries.
