Bladensburg is a town in Prince George’s County, Maryland, United States. Bladensburg, a suburb of Washington D.C, is located alongside the Anacostia River. The town was originally known as Garrison’s Landing, but later renamed Bladensburg in honor of Thomas Bladen, then-Governor of Maryland. Bladensburg was chartered in 1742, and incorporated in 1854.
