FORMAT:

Documentary investigative report.

LENGTH: series of 2 3-minute features.

PRODUCTION STAFF:

Producer, editor, photographer, line producer, reporter.

FACILITIES REQUIRED:

Camera, tripod, editing equipment time, tape.

FUNDING SOURCE:

Local underwriters, justice foundations, police groups.

CONCEPT:

This documentary will be an investigative report into the people involved with

and the actions of the Athens Greek Mafia. This is an effort to expose the rumored

corruption involving Athens police and Greek business owners both in the Athens uptown

and surrounding areas. By talking to former police officers and current people affiliated

with “the scene,” answers to questions can be discovered.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

Athens residents.

OBJECTIVE:

Find out the truth about the rumored mafia actions. Should Athens residents be

worried about this situation?

Confrontational, fast-paced, investigative. Beginning with interviews with former

Mafia members, the first day focuses on what the Athens Greek Mafia does. The second

day will involve the police, in what they are trying to do to stop it (and if possible, the

police involvement in the Mafia itself.)

PRODUCTION SCHEDULE:

April 1-10 Shooting

April 11-15 Editing and post-production.
