Following an incident, you may need to find out what happened from witnesses. What is the best way to get their account of the event? During this seminar, you will learn about conversation management from an experienced investigator.

After an incident, you should revisit your risk assessments. How do you assess if it is ‘suitable and sufficient’? We’ll look at risk assessments from the perspective of an ex-inspector, with over 20 years experience working with the HSE.

Prepare to deal with an Enforcing Authority investigation. Understand what the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) may ask you and why. Hear from a solicitor about some strategies for dealing with the HSE.

In the worst case the police may be involved. Hear from a serving police investigator who has dealt with work-related death investigations.

What’s in it for you?- Gain an understanding of the technique

of ‘conversation management’ as a tool for obtaining witness information.

- Find out how to critically review and revise risk assessments.

- Learn from experienced professionals and take new knowledge back to your workplace.

- Take advantage of excellent networking opportunities.

- Use your learning outcomes as part of your CPD record.
