MARKETS

TSX equity futures and U.S. futures are indicating a higher open asoil prices surge following the withdrawal of the U.S. from the Irannuclear agreement, fanning concerns of lower supplies if sanctionsare re-applied on Iran.

CURRENCIES

The Canadian dollar is up 0.6% to $0.7769 U.S.

Bitcoin is higher by 1% at $9,265, according to CoinDesk.

COMMODITIES

West Texas Intermediate has surged 2.5% to $70.83 a barrel after theU.S. pulled out of the Iran nuclear agreement.

Gold is flat at $1,314.20.

STOCKS THAT MAY MOVE

CanWel Building Materials (TSX:CWX) Solid numbers from CanWel,which we featured as cover story last July. Net earnings increased to$6.5 million (Canadian) from $1.7 million.

Revenue was $295 million compared to $222.8 million. EBITDA camein at $15.6 million against $8.2 million. Analysts were expectingrevenue of $286.1 million and EBITDA of $12.9 million. (See Analysts'Calls)

Enbridge (TSX:ENB) is selling a 49% stake in some renewablepower assets to CPPIB for $1.69 billion.

Wal-Mart (NYSE:WMT) is paying about $16 billion (U.S.) to take acontrolling stake in Indian e-commerce company Flipkart, beatingout Amazon.com.

Vodafone (NSYE:VOD) is paying more than $22 billion to buy someEuropean assets from John Malone's Liberty Global.

CANADIAN ANALYSTS' CALLS

This is an overview of some of today's analyst research. We'll havemore details on many of these reports in the next Capital Ideas Digestand on Capital Ideas TV.

INITIATIONS

Park Lawn (TSX:PLC) GMP resumes coverage by boosting the pricetarget to $30 (Canadian) from $27.50 and giving the stock a "buy"rating, saying the death care company is "growing by leaps andbounds" through acquisitions. (GMP has done investment bankingwith PLC within the last 12 months.)

**Agellan Commercial REIT (TSX:ACL.UN) Here's another upgrade forthis REIT, this one from RBC, which raises it to "outperform" andboosts the target to $13.50 from $12.50, giving the shares 21% upside.

Sleep Country Canada (TSX: ZZZ) Here's another former coveridea which Raymond James is upgrading to "outperform", hiking itsEPS projections and lifting the target to $39 from $39. RBC sees "anattractive investment opportunity" following earningsresults, maintains an "outperform" and gives the stock 42% upsidewith a target of $46. However, CIBC reduces its target to $40 from$43. GMP lowers its target to $36 from $41.50.

Premium Brands (TSX:PBH) CIBC hikes the target to $141 from$128 and maintains an "outperformer" rating.

Petrus Resources (TSX:PRQ) RBC boosts the target to $2.25 from$1.75, which suggests 51% gains, and maintains an "outperform-speculative risk" rating.

NuVista Energy (TSX:NVA) RBC lifts the target to $11 from $10,

implying upside of 27%, and maintains an "outperform".

TORC Oil & Gas (TSX:TOG) CIBC boosts the target to $9.25 from $8.75and keeps its "outperformer" rating. GMP FirstEnergy lifts the targetto $10 from $9 and keeps a "buy" rating.

Surge Energy (TSX:GSY) Canaccord Genuity raises the target to $3.50from $3.25.

Canwel Building Materials (TSX:CWX) RBC maintains an"outperform" and price target of $8, implying 26% upside, on thisformer cover story of ours, saying the company delivered, "strong,high-quality Q1 results". Canwel has a yield of 8.6%.

U.S. ANALYSTS' CALLS

Semtech Corp. (NASDAQ:SMTC) RBC upgrades to "outperform"and raises the target to $50 (U.S.) from $39, which gives the stock18% potential gains.
