ABOUT USThe Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment (CIP) Act was passed in April, 2013. The Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU), a creature of the legislation, was staffed on August 26, 2013 and opened to the public on October 10, 2013. The first application was received in November 2013. The first citizenship was granted in February of 2014.

Managed by a dedicated team of professionals, the CIU is the authority responsible for processing all applications submitted for Citizenship by Investment, issuing all Agent Licenses, as well as approving Authorized Representatives, Projects and Business Investments. The ultimate responsibility of the Program rests with the Office of the Prime Minister.

The Unit is proud to be a Corporate Member of the Investment Migration Council (IMC), the worldwide association for the Investor Migration and Citizenship-by-Investment industry. The IMC sets the standards acting as a regulator on a global level and interacts with other professional associations, governments and international organizations in relation to investment migration.

ABOUT INVEST CARIBBEAN CONFERENCE (ICC) - MAY 22 – 25, 2017

The second annual Invest Caribbean Conference, will be held at the Sandals Grande Antigua Resort & Spa, Dickenson Bay, St. John’s, Antigua, from May 22-25, 2017.

As the title of the conference suggests, the main thrust is to showcase the Caribbean’s Citizenship by Investment Programs (CIPs), focusing on investment opportunities and advantages, particularly those available in real estate and other sectors, such as agriculture, healthcare and renewable energy.

The 2016 ICC theme was, “Investing in Safety and Security and a New Vision for CIPs”, focused on highlighting the benefits of the programs, looking at strengthening critical areas such as due diligence, and promoting the Caribbean as paradise and a safe place to invest.

This year’s theme is “Transparency and Sustainability: CIPs in the New World.”

The conference aims to attract a projected 200 attendees and industry partners. Attendees will include heads of governments; international immigration and investment agents; government officials; representatives of regional and international organizations; industry professionals; academic speakers and High Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI). The event will also feature site visits to approved CIP developments.

The Welcome Cocktail/Opening Ceremony will be held on 22nd May 2017 at the Sugar Ridge Resort.

The inaugural Invest Caribbean Conference truly excelled expectations in terms of the quality and breadth of topics of relevance to the Citizenship by Investment community.
