What is it?

In computing, virtualization means to create a virtual version of a device or resource, such as a server, storage device, network or even an operating system where the hypervisor divides the resource into one or more execution environments.

• ESXi, HyperV, Xen • Fully supported by WW

Type 2• Shares resources with host O/S

• Workstation,player, virtual box, etc..

• Not supported in production environments – great for testing
