For a list of sites featuring trade associations, select the tab which reads “Trade Associations and Organizations.”

Here you find well-established trade associations as well as an option for a simple Google search.
For question #1, “identify two trade associations that would be valuable for your business,” use one or more of the provided links, or run a Google search (for example “trade associations and fashion industry”).

You can play with this; you are not limited to subject searching. Try looking for your business in the title of the article. Remember to select “Trade Publication.”

Google certainly has its value, but for entrepreneurs serious about learning and mastering the resources available to them, the HVCC library has a wealth of options.
Use these resources while you are a student at HVCC. In the business world, they cost big $.

The advantage to a library research database search vs. an Internet search is that you retrieve several trade publication articles at once. You can sort your results by date order (most recent first), relevance, and you can FOCUS your search more easily once you learn to use the database interface.
College library databases are current, reputable and reliable. Take advantage of these resources!
