The Department of Architecture and Planning is committed to provide an academically strong platform for those aspirants who would make a good meatier and leave an enduring impression in the field of Architecture and Urban Planning.

The educat ional program in Architecture throughout the world shares a common view of the future of mank ind and recogn i ze s i t s unpredictability. The Department of Architecture and Planning plans and strives to reach these goals by offering the Undergraduate (5 Year B.Arch.) Degree Program in Architecture. The Post Graduate Degree (2 Year M. Plan) Program in Urban Planning aims to p roduce gene ra l i s t p lann ing professionals of international quality who can adapt to any challenging planning situation with superior capability to use geo-informatics which includes GIS, remote sensing, related models and quantitative methods in urban, regional and environmental planning. A number of students are pursuing research in various fields.

ABOUT NIT CALICUT

National Institute of Technology Calicut

(NITC), is fully centrally funded by

MHRD and is governed by the NIT Act

2007. Institute has ten departments,

three schools and nine research

centers. It offers ten UG, and thirty PG

programmes along with the Ph.D

programme in various fields of Science,

Technology and Engineering. Faculties

in the various Departments have active

collaborations with universities and

elite institutions within and outside

India for research and have active

ABOUT CALICUT

Calicut is a major knowledge Hub of

PREAMBLETechnology is transforming the way that buildings and infrastructure are designed, constructed, and operated. And it's helping to improve decision making and performance across the building and infrastructure lifecycle. BIM (Building Information Modeling) is an intelligent 3D model-based process that provides Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) professionals the insight and tools to plan, design, construct, and manage buildings and infrastructure.
