Discovering the Pieces of the Web Part The Ribbon
• A key feature of SharePoint 2010
• Similar to what you see in Word, Excel and Outlook
• Controls are organized in logical groups under tabs
• Map Web Part tabs are grouped under one heading
Configuring the Application Edit Mode vs Run Mode
• Site designers create the site in Edit Mode
• End users are limited access to what designers allow
• Run-time ribbon can be configured to include or exclude any web part’s ribbon buttons.
