【Dare to Dream in Mainland of China】

The training plan of youth leadership The overseas internship of youth

The social public welfare project

Dare To Dream is a social public welfare project which was initiated by AIESEC CHNINA

MAINLAND. The Chinese and global volunteers use their precious experience to collect and

inspire the dreams of children. They publish these dreams through micro-blog and photo

exhibition to gather the social forces.

Compared with other project, the Dare To Dream project of AIESEC is national. We have a

nice public offering fund platform and strong social influence to gather the social resources,

helping those kids realizing their dreams.

【Dare to Dream in AIESEC CQU】

Dare to Dream in AIESEC CQU have lasted for five year. Our project aims to extend a

helping hand to the left-behind children in villages,

who are lack of essential care and access to qualified

educational resources. We enable these poor children

to see the infinite possibilities of the outside world and

encourage them to dream big by organizing

wonderful winter camps. The Chinese and global

volunteers use their precious experience to collect

and inspire the dreams of children. They publish these

dreams through micro-blog and photo exhibition to

gather the social forces. We want to take the global

advantage of AIESEC to introduce global volunteers from all over the world to communicate

with local students, helping them establish a global horizon and realize their dreams.

Meanwhile, the volunteers will live with the students to provide them with a different culture

experience.

★★WHY WE DO DARE TO DREAM 【Background of Dare to Dream 2015】

On August 3rd, 2014, a 6.5-magnitude earthquake took place in Yunnan Ludian city. The

focal depth is 12 kilometer, which following a heavy rain and aftershocks. Ludian earthquake

is the strongest earthquake for the last 18 years in Yunnan province. That recall the memory

of the great earthquake took place in Sichuan Province, maybe we can’t be in Ludian in time

but what about the post-seismic area in Sichuan Yaan, I still remember such a message a

mom wrote to her baby in the earthquake, "Dear Baby, if you can live, keeping in mind that

mommy love you ", the mom gave the chance to her baby and choose to give up her life. I

know these children will live bravely with the support from the heaven and they also need the

power to support them in this real world to face the reconstruction, so that’s why our DARE

TO DREAM 2015 Winter Camp will be Sichuan Yaan.

【Our Goal】

1、We will hold an international winter camp in Sichuan province where Yaan earthquake took place. During the winter camp, our global volunteers and local volunteers will live with the

children in the post-seismic area to give them classes and offer them psychological guidance,

which will help them to walk out their depression, heal their heart, and open the windows to

them.

2、Seeking for the international and society power for the earthquake-stricken areas in Ludian,

giving hand to the reconstruction of schools

3. Planning to co-work with the professional NGO to let the curriculum plan more scientific

and create the confirmed template. At the same time, widening the ways of raising money,

and building the long term connections with the schools, NGO, medium and other cooperative

partners.

4. Using a charity sale which will be held on January 21st,2015 as a warm-up for this project

Dare to Dream and the Dream Sharing meeting which will open on February 13th,2015 as an

achievement exhibition to increase the influences the project Dare to Dream have as an

international supporting education activity and a global winter camp while holding relevant

activities at our school base are all for appealing to the society that the stay-at-home, the

poor children, and the one who lives in the disaster area should be given more care, and also

for matching the young to the poor children, in which case the young people can voluntarily

and continually go to the supporting education project.

【WHY OUR DEAR TO DREAM SO SPEICAL】

【Background of Spring Festival】

The oldest and most important festival in China is the Spring Festival more commonly known in theWest as Chinese New Year. Like all Chinese festivals, the date of the new year is determinedby the lunar/solar calendar rather than the West. The first

three days of the festival, people will visit their close relatives and best friends, exchanging greetings and

presents, which is known as the ‘New Year's Visit'. The young generation are given the red envelop from

their elder generation. The Spring Festival carnivals take place during this period. There are

performances of dragon dancing, lion dancing

and recreational parades in the street by some

troupes.

The fifth day is known as ‘Po Woo'. On this day

people stay home to welcome the God of

Wealth. No one visits relatives and friends

because it will bring both parts bad luck. From

the sixth day to the tenth day, people either go

out the visit their relatives or friends or go to the temples to pray for good fortune and health in the

coming year.

【What will you experience in Spring Festival】

Dragon Dance is another traditional

festive performance that can not be missed.

Dragon is regarded as the symbol of deity,

emperor and imperial power. In the ancient

times, people believed that dragon can make clouds

and rain, so once in dry season, they played

dragon dance to ask for rain and agreeable weather. In their minds, this creature is friendly and helpful,

who inhabits in the body of water. When play the dragon dance, people prefer the longer dragon, the

longer the better. In some communities, the dragons are so long that require twenty to thirty people to

play it. Generally, the Dragon Dance is played by many people with specially made stage props in their

hands. One person uses a pearl-like thing to lead the dragon. The dragon will follow it rising or falling,

slowly or rapidly. The scene likes that the dragon sometimes flies up to the sky, and sometimes hiding

under the ocean and breaking waves.

civilizations that use Chinese characters. These include China, Japan, Korea, and formerly Vietnam[1].In

painting, which is accomplished using

similar tools and techniques. The East

Asian tradition of calligraphy originated and

developed from China, specifically the ink and

brush writing of Chinese characters. There is a

general standardization of the various styles of

calligraphy in the East Asian tradition. Calligraphy has also led to the development of many other forms
