Welcome, During the end of the eighties a basis was laid in Back Stage, our 300m2 professional make-up store in Amsterdam, by Mr. R.L. Koopman for the professional make-up of Make-up Studio. A team of make-up specialists started the development of professional make-up products in this specialized shop for make-up artists. In the mean time, Make-up Studio offers both the demanding professional and the modern women a very elaborate assortment of high quality products in an infinite colour palette with multipurpose use possibilities in more than 33 countries. Our main customers are make-up artists working for film, fashion, television and theatre, make-up schools, make-up stores, beauty shops, beauticians, hairdressers and nail studios. The head office of Make-up Studio is based in Wormerveer which is about 30 minutes from Amsterdam. Our production, warehouse, administration, sales, marketing and training facilities are all located under one roof in Wormerveer. From the head office we coordinate all national and international activities of our make-up brand Make-up Studio. We not only offer you a high quality make-up line, but also a decent support from professionals in all fields and a complete training system, to optimize the lines fully. Jeroen Rijvordt

Trend Make-up Twice a year, spring/summer and fall/winter, Make-up Studio launches her new trend make-up colours. Make-up Studio monitors the fashion industry very closely to take note of the upcoming collections. Significant issues for the international trend-team are colours, style, time period and also the fabrics the designers use in their design. Furthermore the trend team works very closely with the product development team to decide on the type of products and research novelties in the cosmetics industry. Once the colours, products, style and time period are determined the trend team starts to decide on the make-up type and style and location of the photo shoot and film location for the step by step movie.

In October 2009 the first official Make-up Studio Training Centre was opened in New Delhi India. This Centre is the first in India but it is likely that others will follow in the future. The Make-up Studio Training Centre is a joint venture project between Make-up Studio (Netherlands) and the official Make-up Studio distributor for India, EKTA Capital. A career as a skilled make-up artist in India offers possibilities! Since beauty and appearance are gaining more and more importance, both in professional life as well as in everyday culture, the niche market of the make-up artist keeps broadening and becomes more crucial. As a result, the fashion, advertising, photography and entertainment industries offer huge opportunities for well trained and imaginative make-up artists. It is Make-up Studio’s purpose to teach contemporary make-up techniques to beginners as well as experienced make-up artists. The courses prepare the student for a career as a multi-faceted make-up artist in the entertainment, fashion and beauty industries. The new Make-up Studio Training Centre in Delhi will also serve as a pilot for other Training Centres. Plans will be made to open more Make-up Studio Training Centres in other big cities in India.

In those countries where Make-up Studio has been successful for many years in the European professional make-up market, there has been a significant development of the brand within Middle Eastern countries. Professional aspects such as colour intensity, good covering and ‘long lasting’ results combined with a wide range of colours and the use of bright colours and glitters are the ingredients of Make-up Studio’s success in these countries. In these countries, Make-up Studio products are sold in special

Make-up Studio is not only present at the Beauty Trade Show in Utrecht, the Netherlands, but also at other important international Beauty Trade Shows. For example, in April this year, Make-up Studio was present for the 5th time during the biggest Beauty Trade Show in the world, the Bologna Cosmoprof in Italy, and for the 4th time at the prestigious Beauty World in Dubai. For the first time, Make-up Studio was present at Euresia in Istanbul, Turkey. This trade show is not only visited by locals but also by professional people from the rest of Europe and Middle East because of the central location. Another first is the participation in the Cosmoprof Hong Kong. This trade show has become the runner-up after the Bologna Cosmoprof. Of course, the focus of the Hong Kong trade show is more on Asian countries. In addition, local Make-up Studio distributors are present at trade shows in their respective countries. Branding is an important element and is therefore part of the guidelines. Stands are always black and contain at least one Make-up Bar. In combination with the wide range of colourful products this results in a clear branding of Make-up Studio all over the world.
