13 Staff ID – Users for POSGenerally, all staff ID users that can log into the stationary POS can log into Mobile POS as well.

User 101 can log into all stores.

Specific staff for stores include the store number in their user number.

For example:

staff 301 for Store S0003 staff 501 for Restaurant S0005

The general setup for staff is:

POS users with full permission: users with a number ending in „1“ as in 101, 301 and 501. POS users with cashier/waiter permission (some limitations): users with a number ending

in „2“, as in 102, 302 and 502. User 101 and 99 has access to all stores.


14 Customer Order informationThe following information is intended to be of assistance for those who want to demo and test the customer order process in the demo data company.

The section includes some information about the setup and a list of some items that can be used for customer orders.

14.1 Customer Order – required fieldsIn Customer Order setup it is possible to set the required fields for the proccess for customer orders in the POS.

This is the setup in the Demo Data Company:


14.2 Store S0001 – Customer orders for collection or shipmentStore S0001 has this sourcing locations setup:

Note: if this setup is changed, the behaviour for the customer order collect and shipment can have different result.

Priority and lead time are parameters for customer orders to decide from which location the CO is sent.

This image explains how lead time or priority come into desicion for the CO.

- Collect uses shortest Lead Time- Shipment uses lowest Priority


14.3 Items for store S0001 that can be collected in the same storeThese items have inventory in store S0001 and can therefore be collected in the same store, S000.

For these items, and as long as they are available in location S0001, there is no need to have them transferred from another store or warehouse to S0001.

16 Different POS Layouts – ExamplesIn the Demo Data Company there are various POS layouts that are used by the different stores and terminals.

The POS layout consists of a setup of the POS profiles, the interface, menu, and style profile. These profile settings can then be configured for the store, terminal, staff, and staff for stores.

This chapter includes examples of some of these layouts, all of which are included in the LS Central Demo Data Company.

16.1 Terminal P0001 in store S0001For demo purposes, Terminal P0001 has different users on the buttons.

Each button opens the POS with a different layout.


16.1.1 Metro

Notes:

This POS layout is intended for a touch screen tablet where the buttons are on the side. Many buttons have pop-up menus. Balance and the total amount, touching them opens a pop-up menu to display detailed total

amounts. When a member is part of the sale, information about him or her is dislayed on the POS.


16.1.2 Hyper with Metro color

Notes:

Hyper is a POS layout that has been in the demo data for many years. Has many buttons and menus. Another example shows the same layout, but with different colors. One example of the layout has the journal on the opposite side, which is ideal for left-handed

persons.


16.1.3 Supermarket

Notes:

Supermarket is an example of a layout where the background is dark. The name of the store is displayed at the top of the screen. Fruit, Vegetable, Bread and cakes open a panel with the items. In these cases, it is easy to

have many buttons, using the whole screen. Number keys are in a menu for demo purposes, in reality consider using this area for

another set of buttons, some commands perhaps. Balance and the total amount, touching them opens a pop-up menu to display detailed total

amounts.


16.1.4 Fashion

Notes:

Has the same colors as the POS for the phone view and mobile POS. Includes different menus, using the buttons on the left changes the menus for the items. Includes More Commands menu. When a member is part of the sale, information about him or her is dislayed in the empty

area. Balance and the total amount, touching them opens a pop-up menu to display detailed total

amounts. Menus Linda Line, Clothing, and Cotton Items are dynamics menus. Includes buttons for Customer Order processes.


16.1.5 Electronics

Notes:

Similar as Fashion but in this example has different colors and a dark background.


16.1.6 Coffee House

Notes:

Example of a simple POS layout for a coffee place. Has a button for fast cash. Items are in menus. Has POS commands that are used for food and beverage purposes as Extra ingredients,

Exclude Ingr. Has offers (deals). Has a dynamic menu as cakes.


16.1.7 Leo POS

Notes:

Example of a POS layout with a few groups of menus. Menus are framed in with an empty space between them; this is done with additional

narrow columns that are not configured. When a member is part of the sale, information about him or her is dislayed in the empty

area. Balance and the total amount, touching them opens a pop-up menu to display detailed total

amounts. Includes buttons for Customer Order processes. This POS layout also has a black-and-white version.

Notes:
