ESSAY STRUCTURE

Generally, an IELTS essay has THREE parts:

The introduction

The body

The conclusion

The introduction is where the writer states what is going to happen in the essay. (40-55)

The body is where there is elaboration on the information relevant to the topic. It can vary from two to three paragraphs. (175-200)

The conclusion ultimately is nothing but a summary of the most important: what the essay was about in brief and an outcome! (35-45)

Altogether, it contains 4 to 5 paragraphs including almost 250 to 300 words.
