Importance of Roadway Clearance on NC highways

“Roadway Clearance” is the point at which an incident is completely cleared from the travel lanes of the roadway.

“Roadway Clearance” has an impact on “Incident Clearance” times, which concludes when all objects and vehicles are completely removed from the scene, without any further traffic interruption or delays.
