    Course Objectives

    By the end of the course, learners are expected to:

    Understand current approaches to the use of educational

    SOFTWARE in foreign language learning and teaching

    Apply the learning theoriesto the use of educational

    software in promoting language learning and teaching

    Consider implications of educational software for learning

    and teaching practices Design and create instructional plans, lessons (training

    lessons) and exercises that incorporates educational

    Final assessment requirements

    Program: Using Hot Potatoes, Movie Maker andPowerPoint to design a technology-enhanced language

    learning activity/lesson/exercise

    Rationale essay (700 -1000 words) should be

    - a description of the program

    - how the materials should be used

    - the instructors, users and computer software roles

    - how the materials help users learn/use better or how

    they can be integrated into a lesson or a series of

    lessons
