Welcome to our all new John McIntyre Conference Centre.

Set in the grounds of Pollock Halls, the main residential campus of the University of Edinburgh, our John McIntyre Conference Centre has undergone major re-development this year.

The all new JMCC brings you the perfect mix of high-specification conference facilities, state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment and tailored catering options. Add to this our picturesque setting, with breathtaking views of Arthur’s Seat and you’re guaranteed a successful and memorable event.

Our unique conference offering

Delegates will enter at ground-fl oor level and take the scenic glass lift, or stairs, to the fi rst-fl oor foyer. This open area can be used for registration, or guests can make their way through to Centro; our spacious lounge where they can relax, help themselves to tea and coffee, or enjoy a drink from

the bar. Centro can also be used throughout the day as an additional breakout space or, when the sun is out, delegates can enjoy the open-air terrace with great views across Arthur’s Seat.

Facing south is the Pentland, our new and largest-capacity room; ideal as a plenary

space, it can accommodate 350 delegates in theatre style. Alternatively, the space can be divided and used as two separate rooms. The Boardrooms next door have the same fl exibility; ideal for use as the conference organiser’s offi ce, or as a small business suite.

Our four additional rooms can be used as exhibition space and breakout sessions, each providing the potential for a variety of seating formats.

The John McIntyre Conference Centre has been redesigned specifi cally with delegates’ requirements in mind, providing:

AccommodationDuring spring and summer vacations, our great selection of value-for-money accommodation at Pollock Halls is available for delegates and guests; we can offer twin, double and single rooms, the majority en-suite, and all with a variety of dining options in our newly re-developed restaurant at JMCC.

Also available is our 3-star Salisbury Green Hotel. Set in a refurbished 18th-century mansion house, in beautiful surroundings, Salisbury Green delivers style and comfort. The interior, and 36 en-suite bedrooms, perfectly refl ect the atmosphere and history of the building.
