Current Status

• E-Scinet (The e-Science Network) is up and running– Aim: to develop and disseminate best practice in

e-Science methods and e-Infrastructure provision

• Web site - http://www.nesc.ac.uk/escinet/

• Wiki & mailing list• First supported event

– Campus Grids SIG, Monday April 16th

• Action plans required from funded members– Template provided, 2-3 pages requested

Members

• Those who supported the bid– Plus one or two new members– New members welcome!

• Funded members– Those whom e-Scinet will help with travel – Must not have existing funding for this

• e.g. funded e-Science Centres, etc.– Must submit an action plan– e-Scinet will pay 80% travel costs (due to FEC)

• Non-funded members– Those who can use other sources to pay travel
