Cryogenic (CO2) Refrigeration

• There is nothing “new” about using CO2

(cryogenics) as a refrigerant. It has been used in manufacturing, transportation and the food industries for decades.

• Cryogenic refrigeration has been employed

in the US rail industry for over 10 years and in ocean container service in certain West Coast, USA ocean and intermodal (rail, barge and truck) routes.

• The technology is proven…… and it WORKS!

• Frozen goods are loaded and the doors sealed.

• Liquid CO2 is “charged” into the bunker area immediately turning to “snow”, a less dense form of dry ice.

• Over the transit period, the CO2 snow in the bunker “sublimates” to CO2 vapor and flows down over the cargo, keeping it frozen.

• Simple system!

• The technology utilized in cryogenic refrigeration system in the Cryo-Power containers is claimed in United States Patents # 5,423,193 and #5,555,733. These patents have been registered in key countries around the world. Principals of CSC, are the registered Inventors.
