First Time Users Select “Sign Up”

Using your mobile device, download the Instagram app.

Using your Mentor (or work) email,fill in the SIGN UP information

Add a user photo if you choose

Next, sign in and register with your new user information.

If you wish, connect your Instagram account to your Facebook (optional).

You may be prompted to find friends on Instagram via Facebook (optional)...

...or by searching your Contacts (optional)

Next, click on the compass on the bottom navigation bar which takes you to the “Explore” option, this lets you search for other users or hashtags.

Be sure to friend the official SKO2014 Account by searching “MENTORSKO” under “Users”

and click “follow”

Once you’ve connected with friends and the official MENTORSKO account

You can view their posts...

...and then create your own by selecting the “camera button”

You can take a photo using the app

Or click here to use and access your existing photos

If you want, select a filter to use from the choices below.

When you’re satisfied, click the checkmark

Select the filter you’d like to use for your photo

Instagram lets you edit and personalize your photos.

Once your photo is complete, don’t forget to caption it with the SKO-specific hashtag (#GoSKO2014)

Make sure your Photo Map is ON

You can also link your post to other social media accounts (optional).

“My Profile” shows your photos, your followers and those you’re following

It also is home to your Photo Map

Photo Map shows the location of your photos

The more photos you post and tag, the more populated your map becomes

You can adjust your Share and Privacy Settings by clicking on the Options button in Profile view.

You can adjust your privacy settings in My Profile.

You can make your photos private so only your approved followers can see postings.

Edit what social media channels you use to share your Instagram postings

You can always search for posts by using the

“explore” option.

Here are all the posts marked #GOSKO2014.

Click on the “Hashtags” tab and type “GOSKO2014” in the search field.

You can help add more “road to SKO” photos, such as: 

·        Registering using your mobile device in front of a recognizable local building·        Jogging or biking by a natural landmark·        Dining or picking up take-out at a favorite restaurant featuring local cuisine·        Rushing through your home airport

 Remember – all the photos posted by midnight Friday, Dec. 21 (Pacific Time/ UTC – 08:00) will get special time onscreen at SKO!
