    BUILT TO LAST

Jerry Porras and Jim Collins are the authors of the

book built to last and in their book they define

an organization that is built to last as one which is

a premier institution in its industry, widelyadmired by its peers and has a long track record of

making a significant impact on the world around

    it.

Such an organization can prosper far beyond the

presence of any single leader or founder and

    through multiple life cycles .

    THE EMPLOYEE

    WHAT DOES HE DO

He takes instruction from his boss, his colleagues

and his customers and does what he is told.

He channels the problems in his environment to

the management, from customer complaints to

work- related problems. Like most Nigerians, he is

    also waiting for the government!
