COME AND SEE US Why not come along and talk to us face to face at
the Surgery that your Barnwood In Touch Team
share with the Abbey Councillors? This is held on
the last Saturday morning of every month at
Abbeydale Community Centre, from 10am -11am.
The local police are usually in attendance too.
Lise and Tarren use Facebook to post
up-to-date snippets of information,
telling you what they are up to. To find
them on Facebook just search “Lise Noakes” or
“Councillor Tarren Randle (Barnwood)”.
For Twitter see @LiseNoakes and

We are also planning a new
recycling centre on Eastern
Avenue which would save
people from the east of the
city having to travel to
Hempsted. This would recycle
materials not collected from
the doorstep like wood, metal
and household goods.
Tarren is part of the Gloucester Conservative Team who have already
been responsible for so many changes for the better, locally and in
Gloucester City. Some of our local achievements are listed overleaf and
many more have been detailed in newsletters we’ve delivered to you
recently and on average at least every two months for many years. A
vote for Tarren Randle helps keep Barnwood and Gloucester On The Up.
5 REASONS TO VOTE CONSERVATIVE
Tarren Randle has served you well for the past 4 years as your councillor.
Tarren always puts Barnwood first and has worked tirelessly for local residents.
She will continue to do so if re-elected on May 7th.

Tarren works with the whole Barnwood Conservative Team.
You have a team who are always keen to help and will do their best for you. You
know one of us is always available to follow up issues or answer queries.
Barnwood has improved thanks to the Conservatives being in control
As well as the improvements specific to local areas we have all benefited from
the works to the Walls and C&G roundabouts, secured by Conservatives.

Conservatives Pledge Recycling Revolution

You hear from us all year round, not just at elections.
We deliver at least 6 In Touches a year as well as various other colour
Conservative publications, so you are kept fully informed.
Gloucester is on the up with Conservatives running the City Council.
Don’t let’s have a return to the bad old days. A vote for Tarren will help keep the
Conservatives running the City Council with more improvements for Gloucester.
Another manifesto pledge is “We will
upgrade the city’s CCTV system and
install 4G wifi in the city centre at the
same time. We will work with the
Safer Gloucester Partnership, the
CitySafe Manager, the Police,
businesses and residents to bring
crime down.
We know this will be welcomed.

and 4G WiFi
Conservatives have pledged a recycling revolution if they stay in control of the
City Council after the May elections. Recycling rates have risen from 9% to 40%
since the Conservatives have been in charge, but we want to see that figure rise
still further. Changes introduced recently mean that aerosols and tetrapak drinks cartons
can now be recycled from the doorstep. A review is currently underway to
expand the range of materials collected when the vehicle fleet is renewed next
year. For example, doorstep collection of cardboard would be popular.
Tarren & Lise have worked with the police to carry out speed
checks. They hope they have raised awareness in some of the
locations where speeding complaints have been received.
Tarren & Lise have been there every step of the way to ensure
the crossing was installed correctly and that the bus stops
were re positioned. The works have been very frustrating to
residents but Tarren & Lise have worked to get the earliest
possible resolution of any issues.
Action Against Speeding
Clock Tower Adoption
We are as frustrated as local residents that the whole of the Clock
Tower area is still not adopted but the developer has to complete all
the works to the correct standard before the Council takes on the
liability for maintenance, at cost to us all. Your Conservative team
have been pushing for progress here on a regular basis.
We’re pleased to tell you that on 24th February another large area
was adopted as public highway: Crock Mead; Dancers Hill; Kimberland
Way; Micklemead; Stonebrack Piece; part of Carwardine Field; The
Plantation (between Kimberland Way and Crock Mead) and Bodenham
Field (between Kimberland Way and Crock Mead).
Lise & Tarren worked with Gloucestershire Highways to get bollards
installed in the verge to keep sightlines clear and improve safety for
people in cars pulling out onto Eastern Avenue.
Just some of the things
that Tarren and the
Barnwood Conservative
team have delivered
within the past year for
local residents..
WORKING TOGETHER ON THE THINGS THAT MATTER
Action at York Road
Tarren & Lise campaigned for local residents to get further
parking restrictions here to help improve safety and prevent
parking in unsuitable places.
Action on Barnwood Road
Action with Young People
Tarren secured sponsorship for Barnwood United Football Club and
a really successful Fun Day was held at Coney Hill Rugby Club with
local Beaver, Cub and Scout groups.
Action with Dog Owners
We told you about the initiative from Tarren Randle to help
reduce dog mess. She also moved a motion at Council to
encourage responsible dog ownership in Gloucester. Her
motion received the unanimous support of the council.
On 16th March all 4,442 Gloucester City Council social homes
transferred to Gloucester City Homes. This will lead to £110
million additional investment in city homes over the next 30
years; to 100 new social homes available for rent for local
families – the first built in the city for 25 years; will allow
existing homes to be maintained to a decent standard as well
as to central government writing off millions of pounds of
housing debt.
Tarren Randle has been a board member of Gloucester City
Homes and commented “I’m delighted that the hard work has
now paid off as this is a great outcome for our tenant and for
the future of social housing in Gloucester”.
Housing Transfer to
GCH now Complete
Action on Holly House site
Tarren & Lise worked with the 2gether NHS Foundation Trust to
get a barrier installed to help prevent anti social behaviour in the
car park.
Action on Eastern Avenue
Action with developers - thanks to your Conservative Team the developer was
persuaded to cut back overgrowth before adoption, as requested by residents
The neighbour
said “We had a
problem with
rubbish at a
GCH property.
I contacted
Tarren and it
was dealt with
extremely
quickly for
which I am very
grateful.”
Still to adopt is
Ashbed Close;
Bodenham Field
south of Crock Mead;
Carwardine Field
serving houses 8 to
38; Clock Tower
Access Road;
Dingles Meadow;
Stoney Bridge;
Home Ground and
The Plantation south
of Crock Mead. We
will keep pursuing
this until all
adoptions are
complete.
