Canadian artist, Douglas Coupland, was commissioned to create a piece that would ref lect the joyful atmosphere of the Emerald City community. His large, multi-coloured

totem installation did just that. From the pedestrian plaza at the southeast corner of Don Mills Road and Sheppard Avenue to the new Parkway Forest Community Centre which features an aquatic facility, each vibrant level

represents the variety of niceties found in the urban landscape.
