RICHTERSVELD 4 X 4 ADVENTURELEISURE TOURS
The hauntingly beautiful Richtersveld National Park lies in the great oxbow bend of the mighty Orange River, in the north-west corner of South Africa. It is a true mountain desert, with contorted rock formations, complex geology, abandoned diamond diggings, sandy river beaches, rough tracks to nowhere and arid plains that stretch as far as the eye can see.
Yet, despite its harshness, it is a very fragile ecosystem, prone to over-utilisation but permeated with an aura of peace, solitude and tranquillity. The park protects one of the highest concentrations of endemic succulents on earth. Despite the remote setting, tasty and innovative meals are “magically” produced by our Landscape guide. Teas and lunches are taken al fresco wherever the notion takes us, all the while maintaining a relaxed pace on our journey of discovery.

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS
Once again, we offer our ever-popular flower tours to the Namaqualand flower area around Kamieskroon and Springbok. Here one can view the classic floral displays of worldwide fame. We base ourselves in Kamieskroon for three nights, central to the most diverse and splendid flowering areas. From here we go on flower viewing expeditions with our guide. We have the special privilege to visit private farms, off the popular tourist routes, where the flower displays are often spectacular.
We tour the dramatic landscape with its huge rocks, succulents, and mineral wealth, opening our eyes to the fact that Namaqualand is not only a venue for the transient flower display, but a permanent amphitheatre of semi-desert grandeur. Two nights are spent in the Nieuwoudtville and West Coast areas. This offers more opportunity for good flower displays and a wider range of flower species, plus extra delightful and varied scenery.

CLASSIC KRUGER WILDLIFE SAFARIWILDLIFE TOURS
This 8-day wildlife safari is focused on the unspoilt and wonderful Kruger National Park. One of Africa’s largest and oldest national parks, it has been a protected area since 1895. We spend part of the safari in the more remote and quieter parts of the park, to fully appreciate the diversity of habitats in this wild place, and away from all the crowds.
Chalet accommodation is comfortable and we enjoy braais and ‘al fresco’ meals, which add to the delightful outdoor nature of this safari. On our daily game drive we will have a good chance of encountering the ‘big five’, but there is so much more to this wilderness, such as the abundant bird life, and a wide range of smaller, but intriguing animals. Optional night-drives in open game vehicles are also available. If you love the African bush in its natural splendour, this tour is for you!

THE CAPRIVINAMIBIA TOURS
Far removed from the clash and clamour of suburban life – steeped in history, mystery and conflict, the fabled Caprivi Strip remains one of Namibia’s best-kept secrets. It encompasses a narrow panhandle which stretches over 450 km, with Angola and Zambia to the north, Botswana to the south and Zimbabwe to the east. This wetland wonderland, with its long waterfront areas and riverine forest, is a refuge for many species of wildlife and birds, and home to no less than 4 national parks: Bwabwata, Mamili, Mudumu and Mahango. We will visit some of these on our game drive excursions.
This thrilling 12-day safari starts in Windhoek and steadily heads north-eastward via the Waterberg Plateau, then follows the course of the Okavango River, entering the Caprivi Strip itself, and traversing its full length.

OKAVANGO DELTA SOUTHERN AFRICA TOURS
The Okavango Delta in Botswana is one of Africa’s true wilderness areas. The Angolan summer rains feed the Okavango River, which slowly filters down and floods the Delta, transforming its dry Kalahari sands into a truly remarkable wildlife wonderland. The Delta environment hosts a large number of animal populations, such as crocodile, red lechwe, sitatunga, sable antelope, lion, leopard, elephant, wild dog, buffalo and about 400 bird species.
We stay for 4 nights at Seba Camp in Meru-style luxury tents on wooden platforms with verandas – the perfect place to just sit and watch the wildlife passing by. Activities include game-drives in 4×4 vehicles, boat outings and the classic game-viewing excursions by mokoro (canoe). SERENGETI & NGORONGORO CRATERSOUTHERN AFRICA TOURSThis safari is an unforgettable African experience and is designed to show you Africa of legend, from the vibrant street life of bustling Arusha, to the wild vistas from the edge of the Great Rift Valley, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater; the unbelievable concentration of wildlife on the vast plains and the diversity of birdlife in the Tarangire National Park.
Time spent here will open your eyes to other great treasures of this wonderful country, Tanzania. The people are a delight – dignified yet warm, friendly and helpful. Travelling in safari vehicles we visit three different conservation areas, each with their own unique character. Our guides will elaborate on the dynamics of each area, which is pivotal to the annual mass migration of wildebeest and zebra in their eternal quest for water and fresh grazing. This is one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on earth and chances of finding the herds on the move are excellent. The optional Serengeti balloon flight is recommended.W

VICTORIA FALLS & CHOBESOUTHERN AFRICA TOURS
On this thrilling 7-day tour you will see some of the great highlights of Africa. From Livingstone, we’ll enjoy sights of the famous Victoria Falls from the Zambian side. We’ll visit Livingstone town with its lively markets, David Livingstone memorabilia, and faded remnants of the colonial era.
One evening we’ll take a river cruise on the Zambezi, with dinner on board. At Kazungula, near the famous spot where four countries meet, we cross the river into Botswana, staying at a beautiful lodge near the Chobe River. In fact, just spending time at the lodge is a delight in itself – sitting and watching the river and the animals and birds that make their home here. We’ll take game drives by 4×4 vehicle in the world-famous Chobe Game Reserve, and ‘game cruises’ on the Chobe River, viewing the herds of elephant and other wildlife from the boat. After a relaxing few days we return to Livingstone for our flight home.
