What is my music video about?

My music video is about a girl who is awarethat her boyfriend is cheating on her. At the

beginning she tries to show that she doesntcare about it and how she can move on. Sheis positioned in most of the places that herboyfriend and his affair are. For example, sheis there when they go out together, and that is

how she sings the song. (She is invisible tothem but to her audience she is visible)

Later on, anger slowly begins to build up asshe starts feeling pain and jealously. Duringthe last line of the song, she is seen at thedoor where her boyfriend and his affair are

How will it be integrated?

Through the ancillary products I intend to

create a visible link between the DVD cover

and Magazine. Firstly, I will arrange the colourscheme so that both products will have a

similar arrangement. In addition to this, with

my Music Video it will link with both the DVD

and Magazine, with the actors/actressesbeing both shown on the covers. For

example, the main girl, boyfriend and his affair

will be on the cover, with the full focus on the

main character and other characters shown inthe background. By doing this, my audience

My targeted audience would be involved in

watching programmes, which are related tomusic, like MTV Base. This shows all genres

of music, and in addition to this they will be

able to show this type of genre which is

RNB and Hip Hop.They may also listen to Radio Stations such

as Kiss 100 and Choice FM. These radio

stations in the U.K normally are fond of

playing genres such as RNB, Hip Hop andPop music.

The style I want to use in myvideo is similar to what artists onmajor labels use, such asRihanna and Beyonce. These

RnB Artists inspire me on myown product because of thesimilar concepts they have usedin their own music video. Forexample; Beyonce Best Thing INever Had is similar due to the

fact that the main character(Beyonce) is telling her storyabout how her relationship didnot work, however my ending willbe different due to my video notending as a typical Happily Ever

After.

The concept of my music videois that the girl finds out that herboyfriend is finding pleasureoutside their relationship. In

my video it shows that the malecharacter is the one who ishaving an affair, this could bothprove and challenge thestereotype of men.

My video is able to challenge atypical ending, with the girl,who is being cheated on, notending as the most dominantcharacter in the video (as inconfronting her boyfriend and

his affair), however it leavesthe audience on some sort of

The ancillary product, being the DVDand magazine advert, will containsimilar colour schemes andtypography. This enables to continue a

particular image for the brand the artistis creating.

With Rihannas album and singlecovers, she is able to maintain the

same type of colour theme and font.

This ancillary product will allow the artist to gainmore popularity, due to the cover being in one ofthe most popular magazines which females read.For example, O.K, Vogue, Hello. In this cover, itwill be a picture of just the artist, against a black

background and wearing fitted dress, fully made-up. This will automatically show dominance inbeing a female artist and will show how she canbe a role model, to young girls with what evershe is wearing in the photoshoot.

Specific items which will be included in themagazine cover, would be an interview with themagazine. This is seen to be Entertainment andPersonal Identity, under the Uses andGratifications theory, because it allows thechosen audience to be aware of the personal lifeof the artist, and find out things which she may

like and dislike. In addition to this, it will alsohave adverts for competitions to win 1000
