What is intertexuality and postmodernism?

In todays lesson we looked at and understood the terms intertexuality and postmodernism, and then applied them to existing music videos.- Intertexuality: reference to another text – author’s

borrowing or transformation of a prior text or readers referencing to one text in reading another.

- Postmodernism: challenging fixed ideas and meanings of texts, reactions to old ‘modern’ and then changing them into something new with or without purpose. A distinction between high and low culture.
