Quick Start

INSERT THE SIM CARD IN YOUR PHONE

Please refer to your Mobile Phone manual on how to insert the SIM card. Your Mobile Phone need to be unlocked, this mean that is not locked to a specific mobile operator. Ask your mobile phone retailer for more information.

SWITCHING ON YOUR PHONE

Once your SIM card is inserted, switch on your phone. The first time you are starting your phone with your Interrail SIM card inserted, the phone will display a menu with 3 options: USA, UK/ITALY and GLOBAL. Depending of your actual location choose accordingly:

Each “Profile” represents the specific configuration for connecting from these locations. At anytime you can switch the profile by accessing the “SIM Menu” or “SIM Services” option of your mobile phone. Please refer to your mobile phone manual to locate your “SIM Menu”.

WHAT IS MY PHONE NUMBER?

Your number will be assigned once you have inserted the SIM card in your phone and connect to a mobile network. You will then receive a text message informing you of your new phone number. At anytime you can receive your phone number by dialing: 133#You can attach several numbers to your Interrail SIM card from many countries. Ask your Interrail Roaming representative for more details.

Dialing a number

HOW CAN I MAKE A CALL?

Your Interrail SIM card provides an International call service, so you need to dial your numbers in the International dialing format. .

FOR EXAMPLE:

UK Mobile Phone number:UK FORMAT07 000 20225

US Phone number:US FORMAT(201) 567-8899

Please note that the leading zero (0) in the UK number needs to be strip. You need to drop the leading zero of any European phone number.

HOW TO OPTIMIZE COST USING THE INCLUDED CALLBACK FEATURE?

Dial the number as mentioned plus the # (pound key), wait a few second (ignore any displayed message) you will then receive an inbound call. +1 201 567-8899#. Answer the call and you will be connected with the person you called.

Text Message (SMS)

HOW TO SEND A TEXT MESSAGE

Your Interrail SIM card is ready to send text message. However, keep in mind that you need to specify the recipient in the International dialing format. (As explained on “Dialing a number”)

Voicemail

HOW TO USE YOUR VOICEMAIL

Voicemail is enabled by default. An inbound caller will be directed to your voicemail if you don’t answer within 30 seconds or if your phone is switched off. You will be noticed by a text message for each new voicemail.

Call forwarding

DIVERT YOUR CALL TO ANY PHONE WORLDWIDE

Your Interrail SIM card allows you to forward your incoming calls to any phone worldwide. This is really important when you remove your SIM from your mobile phone to ensure you will not missed any calls.

TO SET THE CALL DIVERT TO OFF: 103#

For example, to forward your call to a US number: 1 (206) 203-6103 dial:10212062036103#

At anytime you can manage your call forwarding options from your member area.

Internet Access

HOW TO CONNECT TO THE INTERNET USING YOUR INTERRAIL SIM CARDWith your Interrail SIM card you can connect to the Internet. Just go to your network setting and use the following settings:

APN: mobiledata

Username: [leave blank]Password: [leave blank]

Please refer to your Mobile Phone manual to locate your network setting.

Online Recharge

HOW TO CREDIT YOUR SIM CARD ONLINE

Please go to: https://secure.globalroaming.com/Interrail

Enter your SIM Telephone number (excluding +44) as a Login/Username and the PUK as your password.

On your member area, select “My Billing” then “Add funds”, you can choose to add funds with your credit card or Paypal.

Troubleshooting

CANNOT MAKE CALL

IF NOT:

If you still have problem using your Interrail SIM card, please contact your Interrail Roam-ing help desk from your member area.

1) Check to make sure your Interrail SIM card is properly installed and the correct profile is selected as explained in the “Quick Start” section.

2) Check that you are dialing correctly the number as explained in the section “Dialing a number”.

3) Check that your account balance is positive by dialing: 187#

4) Some mobile phone may required to dial the * (star) key instead of the + sign in front of the number.

5) Make sure you are getting a signal.

A) Make sure there is mobile phone coverage at your actual location

B) Make sure your mobile phone support the local network frequency

C) If you never used your Interrail SIM card before, ensure that your

mobile phone is unlocked.
