Foreword
Interquip is a West Australian owned and operated business with a proven track record in delivering successful construction projects across Australia.
Our core business is mine site construction specialising in structural, mechanical and piping (SMP) installations. The other divisions of the business focus on the supply and storage of processing equipment to the industry.
Founded in 1996 as a mining plant and equipment dealership, the business has grown substantially and we now construct mineral processing plants and provide equipment refurbishment and on-site maintenance services.
Interquip specialises in providing complete solutions for its clients and industry partners. We have established relationships with many local and national companies in the mining industry, and are strongly committed to building positive relationships and responding to our clients’ needs. Interquip’s current client base includes large international mining corporations, mid-tier companies and smaller operators.
Interquip’s 2013/14 projects include:
• Construction of a gold processing plant for Alkane Resources at Tomingley, NSW. The project included a site-built tank package, followed by structural, mechanical and piping construction works;
• Construction of Stage 1 crushing circuit for BGC at Atlas Iron’s Mt Webber site;
• Preparation of high value mechanical items from Rio Tinto’s HIsmelt plant in Kwinana for transport to China, including fabrication and installation of transport and lifting frames.
Other recent construction projects include the building of processing plants for Millennium Minerals at Golden Eagle, Galaxy Resources at Mt Cattlin and Kentor Gold at Burnakura.
Interquip’s Construction Division has recently been accredited to ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System.
With ISO 9001:2008 accreditation now complete, Interquip Construction is now undergoing accreditation for the following management systems:

Interquip’s core business is mine site construction specialising in structural, mechanical and piping installations. Typical projects have a capital expenditure in the range of $10 million to $100 million.

Plant Dismantling and Relocation
For clients that have a plant that needs relocating, Interquip offersaplantdismantling,relocationandreinstallationservice.Interquip’s experience enables it to safely and economically approach plant dismantling projects. This is complemented by its ability to overhaul and reinstall ‘pre-loved’ process equipment.
On-site Maintenance
Interquip has small and large crews of experienced tradesmen availableforthemaintenanceoffixedplantequipment,typicallyunder a contract arrangement.
Fabrication and Fitting
Forsmallerjobs,Interquiphasin-housefabricationandfittingfacilities at its Maddington premises.
For larger jobs, Interquip has established relationships with various respected fabrication and machine shops in WA. This provides Interquip with the capacity and resource to cost effectivelydelivermajorcomponentstolargeprojectsina timely manner.
Interquiphasidentifiedamarketrequirementformodularconveyor systems of a size and design suitable for use in the resource industry.
Interquip has accordingly invested in the design of a new modular conveyor system with the goal of furnishing its industry partners withaffordableconveyorsolutionswithshortdeliverytimes.
Affordabilityisachievedbyhavingthemajorstructuralconveyoritemspre-engineeredtoamodulardesign,efficientcontainerisation of most components in order to reduce freight and handling costs, and ensuring commonality of mechanical and drive items and associated spares.
Short lead times are realized by the holding of stock both ex-factory and at Interquip’s principal yard in Maddington, Perth.
For industry partners looking for a complete solution, Interquip can readily provide a supply and install package by making use of Interquip’s Resource Construction Division.
Major Features of the Modular Conveyor System are:

Process Equipment Supply
Interquip has a long history of supplying second-hand process equipment to the mining industry. In addition to holding a large range of plant and equipment in stock, Interquip sources, brokers and re-locates equipment to satisfy client requirements.
Interquip also supplies second hand grinding media to the mining industry.
Equipment Overhaul
Interquip has the capacity and expertise to overhaul and modify equipmenttomeetclientspecifications.
Equipment Valuation
Interquip has specialised industry knowledge which enables it to readily value mine site process equipment. This includes determining values for insurance purposes, estimating replacement costs and establishing market value.
Asset Disposal
For clients looking to dispose of redundant equipment, Interquip offersvariousdisposalmethods.Theseincludeoutrightpurchase,selling on consignment and the direct marketing of larger pieces of equipment, including complete plants.

Interquip has developed a large storage facility to meet its storage requirements. This facility also has the capacity to store significantquantitiesofequipmentforitsindustrypartners.
Thefacilityoffersanoutdoorhardstandstoragesolutionformedium to long term use and is ideal for the storage of process equipment.
The 44,000m² site is located on the outskirts of Northam, approximately ninety minutes east of Perth, and is designed to cater for both small and large storage requirements.

CONTRACT TYPE Structural, Mechanical and Piping Construction - Stage 2
Mintrex awarded Interquip Construction the second stage of the Tomingley Gold Processing Plant project, which comprised the Structural, Mechanical and Piping Construction (SMP) works.
Project works included the fabrication, installation of platework and all piping components for the processing plant.

Works consisted of the construction of a 1.5 million tonne per annum processing plant. The leach tanks had been previously relocated from Mt Todd in the NT and works included the repair and reinstallation of these tanks, followed by the install of a new crushing and milling circuit and associated pipe work.

Interquip’s Charity Work
“Koh Kong Primary School Project, Cambodia”
Interquip recognises the need to help where it can in countries less fortunate than Australia.
When briefed about the Koh Kong Project for the Chi Tres Village in the Botum Sakor District, Interquip immediately agreed to lend afinancialhand.
The village’s primary school was a small decrepit building made of rotten bamboo and thatch. Interquip provided funding towards the construction of a six room premises.
