FINDING THE INTERNSHIP, CON’T“ALL PRE-REQUISITES MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO THE SEMESTER OF THE INTERNSHIP. FOR LIBR 294, YOU MUST HAVE COMPLETED LIBR 200, LIBR 202, LIBR 203 (EFFECTIVE FALL 2008), LIBR 204, 3 ELECTIVE COURSES, AND BE IN GOOD ACADEMIC STANDING [3.0 GPA OR ABOVE WITH NO OUTSTANDING INCOMPLETES] TO ENROLL IN LIBR 294. THERE ARE NO PREREQUISITES TO LIBR 294 FOR STUDENTS IN THE POST-MASTER'S CERTIFICATE PROGRAM (PMCP). ARE SUPPOSED TO HELP YOU UNDERSTAND THE ROPES.• ALSO, MAKE SURE TO STAY IN CONTACT WITH THE
INTERNSHIP SITE COORDINATOR. IF YOU FEEL AS IF ARE OVERWHELMED WITH THE WORK AND SCHOOL, THEY CAN HELP YOU.
BE PROACTIVE
• IF YOU ARE DOING AN ONLINE INTERNSHIP, YOU ARE BASICALLY BEING YOUR OWN MOTIVATOR.• YOU HAVE TO BE ON THE BALL EVERYDAY IN TURNING IN
WORK ASSIGNMENTS AND MAINTAIN CONTACT.• KNOW THAT YOU ARE IMPORTANT TO THEM AND COMPLETE
PROJECTS ON TIME.• IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE, TELL THEM. THEY ARE THERE TO
TEACH YOU HOW TO RESOLVE IT.
