Executive Summary
This report is prepared on the basis of my three-month practical experience at Royal
Tulip Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa. This internship program helped me to learn about
the practical scenario of a hospitality company IT Infrastructure. Royal Tulip Sea Pearl
Beach Resort & Spa is located on Inani beach, Cox's Bazar with lush green hills rise
from the east and endless sea stretching on the west, the resort offers panoramic visuals
of Bay of Bengal. The resort offers 493 luxuriously appointed rooms & suites with
comfort of kitchenette, mysticism of infinity pool & luxury of Jacuzzi. Nestled in the
heart of nature along the world’s longest natural sandy beach, the resort is spread over 15
acres, set amidst organic orchards bearing a vast selection of tropical fruits,
immaculately manicured landscaped gardens and water bodies. Apart from its two
swimming pools (one exclusively for ladies) the resort boasts of a plethora of indoor &
outdoor activities for both adults and kids which include an internationally acclaimed
water park, tennis & badminton courts, 3D movie hall, billiards, amphitheatre, a
luxurious spa and a well-appointed gym. This report has been presented based on my
observation and experience gathered from the company. The organization has many
divisions and departments but he focus is given more on the level of employee
satisfaction in Technical Division as I only got the opportunity to work in this division.
The objective of the report is to find out the procedure of Standard IT Infrastructure &
Security Solution in the IT sector which is doing digitalization of much business
organization.
The main objective of the study is to find out the Standard IT Infrastructure & Security Solution.
The main findings of the study are: they have employer lacking. Their financial performance is growing up day by day. Their employer does their daily work very smoothly. Their working ability is slow because of shortage of enough employers. Their front desk officer is only one person, so this one and only front desk officer can’t do work sufficiently.
The recommendations for study are: they should recruit some officers. They should recruit about two front desk officers who will be experienced and the work will be done at the easiest way. If their front desk officer will be two persons they could divide their work equally and the working ability will get the high power.

2.6 Structures:
2.7 Management:
For a successful and efficient operation of Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa, it is essential
to have a well knit organization of competent and qualified resort managers,
executives and supervisory personnel. Contacts and flow of information between
people and departments of the resort should be carried out in the simplest & most
direct way as practicable.
The proposed organization and staffing has been depicted in the Organization Chart
(shown below) based on that approach. The vertical structure clearly defines the chain
of command and is self explanatory.

While the Organization Chart clearly defines the structure, lines of responsibility,
functions, authority & accountability, they do not limit the channels of
communications, Contacts or flow of information between or amongst the employees of
the resort . Infact, the human resources policy would permit and expect the exercise
of common sense and good judgment at all organizational levels in determining the
best channels of contact for efficient handling of the resort's work. The managers &
executives will have sufficient previous experience running their respective
departments in similar quality resorts or hotels.
The General Manager would be the operational head of the resort. He would be
reporting to the Managing Director. There would be five managers reporting to
him: Manager Operations, Manager Finance & Administration, Manager Marketing,

2.8 Financial Information and Achievements
Profitability potential of the project has been estimated for five years based on the
following assumptions
1. The project will run 360 days in a year considering 180 days as peak season & Rest
180 days as off-peak season.
Assumptions for Calculation of Revenue:
2. In peak season capacity will be achieved gradually @90%, 95%, 95% & 100% In the
1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th year operation and onwards.
3. In Off-peak season capacity will be achieved gradually @50%, 55%, 60% & 60% In
the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th year operation and onwards.
4. Discount @40% will be allowed in the Off-peak season.
5. Room/Suite under time sharing system will be sold out within 8 years considering
12.50% sale every year of commercial operation In order to match cost with revenue.
6. On an average 493 persons/guest will take food & beverage every day and they Will
spend US$ 20 per day per person. Besides, 35% guest will avail Room service. Facilities
and for which they will pay additional charges of US$ 18.00.
7. On an average 30% guest will avail Bar Facilities & pay $18 per person.
8. On an average an amount of US$ 3,000 will be earned every day from indoor-outdoor

9. Sales commission @20% on sales has been proposed to be allowed for sale of
Rooms/suits under time share system.
10. As per Government policy the project will enjoy tax-holiday benefit for 5 years and
to avail this benefit, it will have to invest 40% of Net Operating Profit to sister concerns
& stock market. It will receive return @ 6% p.a. when bank rate is 5% as per prevailing
banking norms of the Country (1% above the Bank Rate).
11. The project initially planned for 10 Years of life without any major renovation.
Project revenue will come in 2 (Two) major ways. One from sale of time sharing and
other from regular rental of the rooms & other services.
Standard IT Infrastructure & Security Solution Page 12
A) Time sharing
Revenue from Time Sharing from 149 rooms for 25 years for 35 weeks a year will come
as follows:
Type of Room Number of Room
No. Of Member
Unit Sale Price (In US$)
Total Revenue (In US$)
01. Studio 77 2695 (77x35)
9425 25,400,375

03. Two Bed Room With Kitchenette
12 420 (12x35)
14000 5,880,000
Total 149 56,018,375
Thus, there will be no time sharing revenue accruing for 149 rooms out of total 493
rooms for 35 weeks in each year within 25 years.

2.9 SWOT Analysis
2.9.1 Strengths
First 5 star resort & destination spa in Bangladesh.
It will be the first International Time Sharing concept resort in Bangladesh. It
will be affiliated with Interval International (II).
All modern facilities to be available for foreigners as well as for local people.
Top quality accommodation with state of the art hospitability.
Lucrative location in Cox's Bazar.
Sponsors are innovative and have experiences in operating both hotel &
construction business.
Standard IT Infrastructure & Security Solution Page 14
2.9.2 Weakness
International Time Sharing concept is the new concept to be implemented for the
first time in Bangladesh. As such, marketing of this concept will be somewhat an
attractive and at the same time a challenging task. The initial response has,
however, been very encouraging because of vacation ownership and international
exchange through Interval International and also return on investment if they not
use the exchange.
2.9.3 Opportunities
As the Cox's Bazar is the longest beach in the world and famous for its natural
beauty and climate, more and more tourists are expected to visit in forthcoming
years. Moreover, in recent days, there has been considerable excitement and
awareness built up through selection of new seven (7) nature's wonders around the
globe, (please visit http://wtivw.vote7.com/n7w/nature to learn more in this
regard). Thus, being a contestant in the seven wonders of the world, Cox's Bazar
has drawn much attention and is likely to draw more tourists to Cox's Bazar in
coming days.
As more investors are coming to invest in our country especially in Dhaka,
Chittagong and other parts of the country, so more accommodation is
required to accommodate these new tourists.
Government has also declared a zone near the sea as "Hotel Motel Zone" to
build only hotels to provide comfort to the tourists visiting Cox's Bazar.
2.9.4 Threats
Unforeseen acts of God like natural disaster may impose threat to the
implementation and operation of the project. However it may be noted that
ALL resorts have been running successfully till date.

Standard IT Infrastructure & Security Solution Page 21
3.8 Video Surveillance
Surveillance is the monitoring of the behavior, activities, or other changing information,
usually of people for the purpose of influencing, managing, directing, or protecting them.
This can include observation from a distance by means of electronic equipment (such as
CCTV cameras), or interception of electronically transmitted information (such as
Internet traffic or phone calls); and it can include simple, relatively no- or low-
technology methods such as human intelligence agents and postal interception.
Surveillance is used by governments for intelligence gathering, the prevention of crime,
the protection of a process, person, group or object, or for the investigation of crime. It is
also used by criminal organizations to plan and commit crimes such as robbery and
kidnapping, by businesses to gather intelligence, and by private investigators.
Surveillance is often a violation of privacy, and is opposed by various civil liberties
groups and activists. Liberal democracies have laws which restrict domestic government
and private use of surveillance, usually limiting it to circumstances where public safety is
at risk. Authoritarian government seldom have any domestic restrictions; and
international espionage is common among all types of countries.

regarding our current policies and practices, along with our Privacy Policy and Terms of

The highest security risk to any system is usually the behavior of its users. We want to
provide you with the tools you need to protect your own data. For example, we log every
time your account is signed in to, noting the device used and location of the connection,
and make these access logs available to you.
Team administrators can review consolidated access logs for the whole team. We also
make it easy for each user to remotely close all Slack connections and sign out all
devices authenticated with their Slack credentials at any time (so if you or one of your
teammates lose your phone or laptop, you don't have as much to worry about).
We will continue to roll out additional features which afford you more control over the
security of your own Slack team. We will also be adding more options for team
administrators to set internal security policies, such as establishing password strength
requirements or requiring use of PIN-lock functionality for Slack’s mobile apps.
