Working for the ManMy time at the MassDEP NRD program
MassDEP / NRD Natural Resource Damages
Program. They go after bad guys like
Exxon. (Boston Harbor Spill)
Restore land for public use. The trustees: “carry out
measures for the protection, conservation, control, and use thereof; and to remedy any damage or destruction to the environment.”
My Job
Bring the MassDep website into the 21st century. Research ArcGIS
Software for map viewing, comparing data, and story-telling. Write proposals for social media accounts. Let the public know the achievements of the NRD program but also
allow them to connect with the information in different ways. Take an active role in meetings / network. See how the public sphere acts as a “public servant.”
