Connecting the computer by cableYou have two options for connecting the computer to your DSL modem by cable:

7 You can now connect your telephone to one of the «S» outlets of the ISDN device (NT) as you have done up to now or you can connect it to any telephone socket in your house.

1 Remove the telephone cable that leads to the telephone socket from your ISDN device and connect it to the split-ter («ADSL» connection).

2 Connect the Ethernet cable (black with green connec-tors) to the splitter («ISDN» outlet) and the ISDN device («U» outlet).

3 Connect the telephone cable (violet) to the splitter («split-ter» outlet) and the DSL modem («DSL» outlet).

4 Connect the Ethernet cable (yellow) to the DSL modem («Ethernet 1» outlet) and the computer («LAN / » outlet).

5 Connect the mains adapter to the DSL modem and the socket.

Warning: You must use the supplied mains adapter.

6 Now switch on the DSL modem and the computer. Note: Then wait until at least one «Ethernet», the «DSL»

and the «Power» lights illuminate on the DSL modem.

8 If you are a new customer, you still have to register your DSL. To do this, follow step 3 of this leaflet.

If you are an existing customer (i. e. you already have a Swisscom internet connection), you can now use the Internet.

3 You will be guided through the registration step by step. Fill out all mandatory fields.

4 At the end of the registration, print out the data sheet and enter all the data in the watch list on the following page of this leaflet.

1 Start-up your browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera, etc.).

2 The DSL registration page will appear in your browser automatically.

If the registration page does not appear automatically, please refer to the next two notes.

Note: If your router (DSL modem) has not

yet been fully configured, a progress bar will be displayed. Wait until this process is complete and then continue to step 3.

Note: If neither the DSL registration page

nor the progress bar are displayed, enter «www.swisscom.ch» in the address field of the browser and press enter .

3. Register Swisscom DSLOnly for new customers:

To be able to use DSL as a new customer, you must first register it. (Existing customers do not need to register DSL.)
