Note to teacher or tutor:Depending on the set-up and your browser, items may appear differently. It issuggested that you use Internet Explorer and it appears as a shortcut on the desktopof the computers. If you don’t choose to put a shortcut, then you will need to teachthe students how to open it from the programs menu.

When students click in the address box on the browser, the address will appear blue.When the address is blue, the students can begin typing without deleting. You maywish to teach them this.

Web page addresses often start with http:/ which while typing web page addresses isunnecessary. http:/ has been eliminated from the screen shots where students areasked to identify the address in these lessons, however when the students actually goto the sites, the address in the box changes to include it. You may choose to pointthis out to the students.

1. Open the Internet by double clicking on the shortcut key on your desktop.

2. Click in the address box.

3. Type www.sacollege.org in the address box.

4. Click or click Enter on the keyboard.

5. Read the web page and answer the questions on the next page.
