Athletes must have also obtained YOG FIS points subject to the following performance criteria:

- Slalom and Giant Slalom: YOG FIS points in at least one FIS alpine event

- Super G: YOG FIS points in Downhill, Super G or Giant Slalom

- Alpine Combined: YOG FIS points in Downhill, Super G, Giant Slalom or Alpine Combined

YOG FIS points are earned in accordance with the FIS Rules for FIS Points during the YOG qualification period from 1 July 2014 to 10 January 2016.

D.1 The top seven (7) NOCs in the overall Marc Hodler Trophy standings at the FIS Junior Alpine World Ski Championships 2015 and the Host Country are entitled to a quota of two (2) men and two (2) women, for a total of eight (8) NOCs.

D.1.1 If there is a tie for 8th place in the Marc Hodler Trophy Standing (or 7

th if the

Host Country in not ranked in the top 8), the NOC shall be ranked according to the number of first, second, third, etc. places at the FIS Junior Alpine World Ski Championships 2015.

D.2 The next best ranked NOCs scoring points in the Marc Hodler Trophy standings are entitled to one (1) starting place of each gender, until the maximum quota of 60 men and 55 women is filled.

D.3 Any remaining places will be distributed with a maximum of one (1) male and/or one (1) female athlete per NOC, amongst the NOCs not yet qualified according to D.1 and D.2 that has indicated interest for a quota place(s). The quota allocation for these places will be determined according to their ranking on the male and female YOG quota allocation lists published on 11 January 2016, The allocation will be made by assigning one quota place per NOC from the top of the YOG quota allocations lists until the maximum quota of 60 men and 55 women is reached.

D.3.1 The YOG quota allocation lists, published on 11 January 2016 on the FIS Website www-fis-ski.com is established by adding Giant Slalom and Slalom rankings on the FIS points lists using the table annexed to this document during the qualification period from 1 July 2014 to 10 January 2016. FIS will

publish the latest YOG quota allocation lists for information on a regular basis.

D.3.2 If there is a tie for the final allocated quota place(s) on either the male or female YOG quota allocation lists, the athlete with the best YOG FIS points in Giant Slalom or Slalom will be ranked ahead.

D.4 In the event of cancellation of the FIS Junior Alpine World Ski Championships 2015, the quota calculation in D.1 and D.2 will be carried out according to the YOG quota allocation lists.

HOST COUNTRY PLACES

The Host Country is entitled to a quota of two (2) men and two (2) women, as detailed in D.1. The selection

of athletes is at the discretion of the Host NOC while respecting the eligibility criteria as detailed in C. Athlete

Eligibility.

FIS shall inform the NOCs of their allocated quota places on 11 January 2016 via the FIS website. The

NOCs will then have three (3) days to confirm if they wish to use these quota places, as detailed in G.

Qualification Timeline.

Any allocated quota places that are returned/not confirmed by the respective NOC will be reallocated with a

maximum of one (1) qualified male or female athlete per NOC to those which have indicated interest in

obtaining a quota place. Quota places will be reallocated by FIS based on the YOG quota allocation list(s)

ranking as of 11 January 2016, in consideration of international representation throughout all FIS disciplines

on the programme of the Winter Youth Olympic Games.

REALLOCATION OF UNUSED HOST COUNTRY PLACES

If the Host Country is ranked in the top seven (7) NOCs in the Marc Hodler Trophy standings or if it declines

its Host Country quota places, then the eighth (8th) NOC in the Marc Hodler Trophy standings will qualify.

D.1 The top ranked NOCs scoring points in the men's and/or women's Marc Hodler

Trophy Ski Jumping standings at the FIS Junior Nordic World Ski Championships

2015 and the Host Country are entitled to a quota of one (1) male and one (1)

female athlete.

D.2 Any remaining places up to a maximum of 25 men and 20 women will be

distributed with a maximum of one (1) athlete, either male or female, to the next

ranked NOCs in the Ski Jumping individual event at the FIS Junior Nordic World

Ski Championships 2015, not qualified in D.1.

D.2.1 If there is a tie for the final allocated quota male and/or female places in the Ski Jumping individual event at the FIS Junior Nordic World Ski Championships 2015, the better/best placed NOC of the YOG age group athletes on the Ski Jumping Continental Cup 2014/15 standings will be ranked ahead.

D.3 In the event that there are remaining places thereafter, the allocation for these

places will be allocated to the NOC based on the men’s and women’s YOG age

group athletes standings from the Ski Jumping Continental Cup 2014/2015 to

NOCs not qualified according to D.1 and D.2 that have indicated interest for a

quota place.

D.3.1 If there is a tie for the final allocated male and/or female quota place on the standings of the YOG age group athletes in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup 2014/15, the athlete with the higher number of first, second, third, etc. places in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup 2014/15 competitions will be ranked ahead.

D.4 The FIS quota allocation list published on 11 January 2016 on the FIS website,

www.fis-ski.com will contain the NOCs who have been allocated quota place(s)

based on D.1 – D.3.

D.5 In the event of cancellation of the FIS Junior Nordic World Ski Championships in Ski Jumping 2015, the quota calculation in D.1 and D.2 will be carried out according to the Ski Jumping Continental Cup standings 2014/2015 of YOG age group athletes.

HOST COUNTRY PLACES

The Host Nation is entitled to a quota of one (1) male and one (1) female athlete as detailed in D.1. The

selection of the athletes is at the discretion of the Host NOC while respecting the eligibility criteria detailed in

C. Athlete Eligibility.

In the event the host nation does not qualify through the rankings at the FIS Junior Nordic World Ski

Championships 2015, it will nevertheless be allocated one (1) male and one (1) female quota place.

D.1 The top ranked NOCs scoring points in the Marc Hodler Trophy Nordic Combined

standings at the FIS Junior Nordic World Ski Championships 2015 and the Host

Country are entitled to a quota of one (1) male athlete.

D.2 Any remaining places up to the maximum of 20 will be distributed with a

maximum of one (1) athlete to the next ranked NOCs, not qualified in D.1, in the

Nordic Combined NH/5 km individual event at the FIS Junior Nordic World Ski

Championships 2015.

D.2.1 If there is a tie for the final allocated quota place in the Nordic Combined NH/5 km individual event at the FIS Junior Nordic World Ski Championships 2015, the better/best placed NOC of the YOG age group athletes on the final standings of the Nordic Combined Continental Cup 2014/15 will be ranked ahead.

D.3 In the event that there are remaining places thereafter, the allocation for these

places will be allocated to the NOC based on the YOG age group standings from

the Nordic Combined Continental Cup 2014/2015 to NOCs not qualified

according to D.1 and D.2 that have indicated their interest for a quota place.

D.3.1 If there is a tie for the final allocated quota place of the YOG age group athletes on the standings of the Nordic Combined Continental Cup 2014/15, the athlete with the higher number of first, second, third, etc. places in the Nordic Combined Continental Cup 2014/15 competitions will be ranked ahead.

D.4 The FIS quota allocation list published on 11 January 2016 on the FIS website,

www.fis-ski.com will contain the NOCs who have been allocated quota place(s)

based on D.1 – D.3.

D.5 In the event of cancellation of the FIS Junior Nordic World Ski Championships in

Nordic Combined 2015, the quota calculation in D.1, D.2 and D.3 will be carried

out according to the Nordic Combined Continental Cup standings 2014/2015 of

YOG age group athletes.

HOST COUNTRY PLACES

The Host Country is entitled to a quota of one (1) male athlete as detailed in D.1. The selection of athletes is

at the discretion of the Host NOC while respecting the eligibility criteria detailed in C. Athlete Eligibility.

In the event that the host nation does not qualify through the rankings at the FIS Junior Nordic World Ski

Championships 2015, it will nevertheless be allocated a quota spot.

FIS shall inform the NOCs of their allocated quota places on 11 January 2016. The NOCs will then have

three (3) days to confirm if they wish to use these quota places, as detailed in G. Qualification Timeline.

maximum of one (1) qualified male athlete per NOC, which has indicated interest for obtaining a quota place.

D.2 The top seven (7) NOCs in the men’s and women's Ski Halfpipe and Ski

Slopestyle at the FIS Freestyle Ski Junior World Championships 2015 and

the Host Country are entitled to a quota of one (1) athlete per gender in the

respective event, for a total of eight (8) NOCs.

D.2.1 If there is a tie for 12th place in the men's and women’s Ski Cross (or 11

the Host Country in not ranked in the top 12), respectively 8th place in the

places will be determined by the results of the Ski Cross, Ski Halfpipe or Ski

Slopestyle competitions at the FIS Freestyle Ski Junior World

Championships 2015.

D.3.1 If there is a tie for the 4th remaining quota place, the NOC with the best

YOG FIS points ranking will be ranked ahead.

D.3.2 In the events there are still remaining quota places these will be allocated by

rankings on the men’s and women’s YOG FIS points lists published on 11

January 2016 of YOG age group athletes in Ski Cross, Ski Halfpipe or Ski

Slopestyle respectively.

D.4 Additional participation for athletes already qualified: since the NOC

quota for Freestyle Skiing is restricted to one (1) athlete per gender per event,

the following additional participation is allowed:

D.4.1 Ski Cross - Up to one (1) additional athlete per gender and NOC, already

entered by the NOC in Alpine Skiing, Ski Halfpipe or Ski Slopestyle, may also

participate in Ski Cross subject to the athlete having YOG FIS points in Ski

Cross.

D.4.2 Ski Halfpipe - Up to one (1) additional athlete per gender and NOC, already

entered by the NOC in Ski Slopestyle or Ski Cross may also participate in Ski

Halfpipe subject to the athlete having YOG FIS points in Ski Halfpipe.

D.4.3 Ski Slopestyle - Up to one additional athlete per gender and NOC, already

entered by the NOC in Ski Cross or Ski Halfpipe may also participate in Ski

Slopestyle subject to the athlete having YOG FIS points in Ski Slopestyle.

D.5 The YOG FIS points lists, published on 11 January 2016 on the FIS website,

www.fis-ski.com, contains YOG age group male and female athletes per NOC

and event in Ski Cross, Ski Halfpipe and Ski Slopestyle during the

D.3 The four (4) remaining places for both men and women per event will be

distributed with a maximum of one (1) male or (1) one female athlete

per NOC, amongst the NOCs not yet qualified according to D.1 or D.2

and has indicated their interest for a quota place. The quota allocation

for these places will be determined by the results of the Snowboard

Cross, Snowboard Halfpipe or Snowboard Slopestyle competitions at

the FIS Junior Snowboard World Championships 2015.

D.3.1 If there is a tie for 4th remaining quota place, the NOC with the best

YOG FIS points ranking will be ranked ahead.

D.3.2 In the events there are still remaining quota places these will be

allocated these will be allocated by rankings on the men’s and women’s

YOG FIS points lists published on 11 January 2016 of YOG age group

athletes in Snowboard Cross, Snowboard Halfpipe or Snowboard

Slopestyle respectively.

D.4 Additional participation for athletes already qualified: since the

NOC quota for Snowboard is restricted to one (1) athlete per gender per

event, the following additional participation is allowed:

D.4.1 Snowboard Cross - Up to one additional athlete per gender and NOC,

already entered by the NOC in Snowboard Halfpipe or Snowboard

Slopestyle may also participate in Snowboard Cross subject to the

athlete fulfilling the age eligibility and having YOG FIS points in

Snowboard Cross.

D.4.2 Snowboard Halfpipe - Up to one additional athlete per gender and NOC,

already entered by the NOC in Snowboard Slopestyle or Snowboard

Cross, may also participate in Snowboard Halfpipe subject to the athlete

having YOG FIS points in Snowboard Halfpipe.

D.4.3 Snowboard Slopestyle - Up to one additional athlete per gender and

NOC, already entered by the NOC in Snowboard Halfpipe or

Snowboard Cross, may also participate in Snowboard Slopestyle

subject to the athlete having YOG FIS points in Snowboard Slopestyle.

D.5 The YOG FIS points lists, published on 11 January 2016 on the FIS

website, www.fis-ski.com contains the YOG age group male and female

athletes per NOC and event in Snowboard Cross, Snowboard Halfpipe

and Snowboard Slopestyle during the qualification period from 1 July

2014 to 10 January 2016. FIS will publish the latest YOG FIS points list

for information on a regular basis.

D.5.1 If there is a tie for the final allocated quota place on the YOG FIS points lists, the NOC with the best individual FIS points result will be ranked ahead.

D.6 In the event of cancellation of the FIS Junior Snowboard World

Championships 2015, the quota calculation in D.1 and D.2 will be

carried out according to the respective YOG FIS points lists per event

for Snowboard Cross, Snowboard Halfpipe and Snowboard Slopestyle,

as described in D.5.

The Host Country is entitled to a quota of one (1) male and one (1) female athlete in Snowboard Cross,

Snowboard Halfpipe and Snowboard Slopestyle. The selection of athletes is at the discretion of the Host

NOC while respecting the eligibility criteria, as detailed in C. Athlete Eligibility.

FIS shall inform the NOCs of their allocated quota places on 11 January 2016. The NOCs will then have

three (3) days to confirm if they wish to use these quota places, as detailed in G. Qualification Timeline.

Any allocated quota places that are returned/not confirmed by the respective NOC from the top twelve (12)

NOCs in Snowboard Cross or top eight (8) NOCs in Snowboard Halfpipe and Snowboard Slopestyle, will be

reallocated to the next ranked nations as follows:

Snowboard Cross: thirteenth (13th), fourteenth (14

th), etc.

Snowboard Halfpipe: ninth (9th), tenth (10

th), etc.

Snowboard Slopestyle: ninth (9th), tenth (10

th), etc.

In the event a reallocated quota spot is not confirmed by the respective NOC, it will be reallocated with a

maximum of one (1) qualified male or female athlete per NOC to those which have indicated interest in

obtaining a quota place. Quota places will be reallocated by FIS based on the YOG FIS points list ranking as

of 11 January 2016, in consideration of international representation throughout all FIS disciplines on the

programme of the Winter Youth Olympic Games.

REALLOCATION OF UNUSED HOST COUNTRY PLACES

If the Host Country is ranked in the top eleven (11) in Snowboard Cross or top seven (7) in Snowboard

Halfpipe and Snowboard Slopestyle or declines its Host Country places, then the twelfth (12th) NOC in

Snowboard Cross or eight (8th) NOC’s in Snowboard Halfpipe or Snowboard Slopestyle will qualify.
