ISL CERTIFICATE DELIVERYONSITE: With local co-sponsors, ISL delivers the modules at locations around the world. The sessions are generally 3 days in length, cover two modules and require some online follow up activity. Contact ISL for more information is available for those interested in co-sponsoring the delivery of ISL modules.

ONLINE: The ISL Online Academy offers all modules at various times of the year using a state-of-the-art learning management system. Each module extends over a fi ve-week period and involves 15 to 18 hours, with both synchronous and asynchronous experiences.

The ‘Register’ tab of our website provides a current listing of all deliveries for both onsite and online.

Module 7 Planning, executing, and Monitoring school iMProveMent• examine and understand the key components

of school and system improvement plans • explore needs assessment strategies, the creation

of SMART Goals, identifi cation of strategies and actions and

• understand effective monitoring, the use of Instructional Rounds, and components of the evaluation cycle.

Module 8 resource ManageMent for iMProved student learning• understand the importance of aligning student

achievement targets and resource allocation, both capital and human

• examine the key activities involved in developing a resource allocation plan

• probe how school priorities can be linked to the fi nancial strategy and

• explore best practices.

Module 9 Personal Qualities, coMPetencies, and ProBleM solving• understand the knowledge, skills, attitudes, values

and behaviours that positively impact school improvement and student success

• analyze their personal leadership qualities and• review models of professional growth, evaluation,

decision-making and problem-solving.

Module 10 Mentoring, coaching, and evaluating for iMProved teaching• understand mentoring as a reciprocal

learning relationship• explore coaching and how it facilitates desired

change through co-created processes and • learn new approaches to challenging

conversations and teacher evaluation.

Module 11 Parent and coMMunity engageMent• understand the benefi ts and challenges of

increased parent and community engagement• explore different types of involvement and

specifi c strategies to improve engagement and• acquire new strategies for measuring parent and

community engagement.

Module 12 instructional leadershiP Project coMPletion: general rePorting reQuireMents• enact the instructional leadership project defi ned

in Module 6 and report on the outcomes.

Module 13 instructional leadershiP Project coMPletion: Master’s recognition • enact the instructional leadership project defi ned

in Module 6 and report on the outcomes in two academic papers.

Module 14 BecoMing a facilitator for the international school leadershiP PrograM• upon the successful completion of Certifi cates

1 and 2.1, learn about the adult learner, effective facilitation strategies, role of the workshop leader and planning tools.
