The Organizers
Naijha Wright is the Co-owner of and Director of Marketing for The Land of Kush, a vegansoul food restaurant located in Baltimore, MD. She develops relationships andcollaborates with local businesses, non-profit organizations, and schools and churcheswho share in the mission of promoting dietary, ethical, or environmental veganism. Naijhaalso co-founded and organizes Vegan SoulFest, an annual vegan festival catered toBaltimore’s inner city communities. Ms. Wright has spoken and made appearances atradio stations, schools and community events throughout Maryland and Washington, D.C.

Brenda Sanders is a vegan food justice activist in Baltimore City who co-founded Thrive Baltimore, a community center that provides support and resources to help people startliving a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle. She’s also Executive Director of Afro-Vegan Society,a nonprofit organization that supports people in marginalized communities in transitioning to thevegan lifestyle, and Co-Owner of The Greener Kitchen, a plant-based food company thatproduces vegan foods that are both affordable and accessible.
